S52 Magic Hour

Post by false9 »

Hello, friends. We're back and more indifferent than ever, so let's get to it. As always, let's start with a

I said I didn't know what to expect last season, but I was hopeful that we were better. And we were! To the tune of....1 win  . We did manage to win a playoff series against the Kings, only to meet up with longtime frival garbageman. While we were able to push it to seven, we ultimately lost. Another long walk in the offseason woods was set.

We were at a crossroads. It was time to sign and trade Felicio and reset the tax or bring him back and dive head first into contention. The siren's song of winning was too hard to resist- not only did we re-sign Felicio and Pastor, but we welcomed a new face to the team:

We're thrilled to bring in Nick Lynch for some added outside sharpshooting, along with some secondary pieces in Robert Mata and Daren Tirado.

So what does this all mean? I'm still not really sure. I think we'll be pretty good, but as always there's fierce competition. I'm hopeful this group's productivity matches the payroll.

With that, the floor's open.

Nick Lynch sometimes got lost in the shuffle in Sacramento and never got a chance to really show off his offensive talents so where do you best see him fitting in this lineup?

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Though he left for Indiana, Matthew O'Connor was a very understated player you identified who has had a very productive career. While other players have similar--or higher--block scores, Matthew O'Connor routinely put up huge numbers there. What about him besides his BLK tipped you to his ability to put up those numbers?

Is bringing Boban Back the key for your team winning it all this year with His Veteran presence and championship pedigree in the locker room?

He'll be starting at the SF spot. I don't think he'll ever break the 20 ppg barrier, but I think he's great as a 3rd/4th option on the floor. If he shoots above 40% from 3, we'll be cooking with gas.

Let me start by wishing him nothing but success with PaulyP. I hope he gets the playing time he needs to show his value- I think it'd be really cool to send a yellow/yellow to the Hall of Fame strictly on DPOY awards.

I think it's a combination of attributes- the BLK and PSD being above 80 amplify each other, and he's probably the bare minimum height to be a center. Another important factor is his foul rating- 100! Coupled with the high stamina, he can stay on floor and maintain his effectiveness. All he needs is the minutes on the floor.

I'm hoping for a higher TS% than preseason but I'm expecting the rest to be close- 20 ppg and 8 apg. I'd really like to see him take the mantle at PG and run with it.

Full disclosure- I signed him as salary fodder in preparation of the trade deadline due to the new rules this season. If there's no trade by the deadline, expect him to be cut. We'll probably bring him back as assistant to the GM if that happens.

Do you see any more Matthew O'Connors in the making? Are you all in on Bryce Eggert??
Somehow I manage.

I like the Egg man for garbage time minutes. Expect to see the minutes for the bigs about the same as preseason- Felicio and Mata starting and Tirado and Pastor off the bench.
