2037-2038 Utah Jazz Preseason Press Conference

Welcome to the 37-38 season of the PBSL!! I'd like to thank all those who came and those who are reading this at home. I'll start by offering a brief introduction of myself. For those unfortunate souls who don't exactly know who I am...well you can call me Darth. I'm kinda the godfather and creator of this whole PBSL thing. It all started with a dream. One day I just decided to leave my prior poorly run Sim League, start my own, and steal all of the old GMs from that league. I did this completely 100% all by myself, with no help or input at all. Now I know what you are thinking when reading this, "Wait how on Earth did you take on that task on alone, and furthermore how is it still running so flawlessly 7 years later???" Well, I'll tell ya...I don't like to toot my own horn but that's what great management can do. And it's that same great management that made me a 2 Time PBSL Champion. I recently decided to grace the league once again with my greatness.

Now while it may take a few seasons to pull this sinking saxophone out of the depths of hell where it was left to rot...rest assured, the Utah Jazz won't be the laughing stock it was for much longer. I have a plan in place to be competing again for titles in 3 seasons. Now I already know your next question, "Although I am being a bit overwhelmed by your mere presence, do you think it would be possible for me to watch you closely and learn from your excellence??" The simple answer is yes, feel free to pick my brain, ask those questions that you know no one else is equipped to answer. As I'm sure you've already noticed, I contain many outstanding qualities, a few being humbleness, honesty, and well did I mention I'm pretty damn humble. Most like to keep their secrets close to their chests. I on the other hand enjoy my little apprentices taking my knowledge. I've trained many GMs who themselves today have many Championship rings like SoundWave, BallsoHard, and IamQuailman***.

I'll go ahead and wrap this thing up now. I don't want to really get into bragging or being boastful...it's not who I am. Once again thank everyone in advance for their questions and have a great day!

***I do NOT condone the trading/traping actions of IamQuailman.

Our times never crossed as I joined the league after you left so welcome (back).

Did you ever take a peek and see how SLOE was humming along when you left or did you quit cold turkey?

And do you think Leonard Washington stays on the Jazz this time next season?

You started your previous two teams' first seasons with historical amounts of losses. Do you think despite taking over a team built by successful GM and manly voice digiskunk you can match those historical losses?

What's the big plan as well? With the Sonics you quickly went all in, with the Bobcats you slowly built up asset accumulation then went all in. Any idea what you want to do now?

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News: Do you have any opinion related to the current state of this franchise? Do you think that you can fix what could be considered one of the worst run franchises in PBSL? Second only to maybe the Suns... Secondly, I see you mention Quail in your presser, who are you most looking forward to competing against now that you are back? Is there anyone that you feel is an inferior GM that you will assuredly beat this year?

Bonus question: Do you actually look like All-Might?

Thanks!!!

I've taken "breaks" before this last one, and most of the time the itch comes back quick and I ended up following the league as if I had a team. But this time was a bit different. Going thru various irl things and I think really just being tired of keeping up with it. I think I got burnt out like many of us have in the past. But I got the itch again and luckily there was the right situation for me to take a team again. I'm having fun and enjoying it again and that's what matters.

No, I do not. I think the latest he is still on my roster is Day 60.

I won't be able to match that wonderful 5 win season...but if you know me you know that I will put THE best team on the floor and gameplan to win every game I can. Right now I do have some players that can play, so while they are on this team, I expect as many wins as I can get. Obviously, the plan is to trade most of them for future talent and or future value. But if that doesn't happen then I'll win more games which probably won't help me in the end but throwing games just isn't in my nature.

Gonna try the patient approach again. See how it goes this time.

Well, it's in shambles. But that's what I liked about it. It had no atrocious contracts, nothing to keep me from flipping every asset on the team and make it my own. I'll bring the Jazz to prominence.

Well, the power ranking has me in 3rd to last in front of only the Hawks and Blazers. That's a definite. But I think I'll finish with a better record than the Rockets and the Kings as well. I'd be shocked if Houston's GM isn't fired mid-season, and the King's GM is content with major suckage and has proven that year in and year out.

And no I do not look like All-Might. I more likely resemble Mineta.

Anything jump out at you about the league since your return (we already know the contracted teams didn't :D)?

I would have to say trading...or should I say the lack thereof. Everyone is gun shy. They'd rather be a guaranteed middling team than take a chance. Look at the draft picks. They mostly aren't traded AT ALL. Bet on yourself, trade them away, go all in. It seems like the league is full of scaredy cats now. But that'll work to my advantage. So carry on fellas.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: When you say you trained GMs like Ballsohard, do you take credit for him being in tax jail right now?

Yeah I'll take credit for that. I showed what it is to be an alpha. Balls just following in my alpha footsteps.

So as you can see I removed Carle from my trade block. I've decided to keep him and pay him. I'm giving him some foul training which should take care of that issue. He should turn out to be a solid piece for me.

I'm also excited about Greg Brown. I plan on putting some points into him throughout the years. But those two I'm most excited about.
