Let's start off with congratulating Quail with one of the highest lotto jumps I can remember. Congrats to him, it's not like I had the 11th and 14th slots and am upset at all for him with the 12th slot in moving up. Just great really happy for the guy, so awesome that I not only missed getting a top 3 pick, but as a reward moved down a slot. Good job Quail. Great, does anyone have any points I can borrow?
OK back to the draft, Bucks take De'Aaron Fox #1 overall. Lets take a look at the important stuff first...the name change. We have a few things going here De'Aaron Fox is an electrifying young talent in the NBA and was a great college player IRL. First thing this De'Aaron Fox has a 6 handle, not exactly simliar. But to balance it out this De'Aaron Fox is from West Paducah, KY. I'm not sure that's a real place I've been to Paducah, KY but have never heard of West Paducah. Well real De'Aaron Fox when to the University of KY and SLOE De'Aaron Fox grew up in KY so it's close enough. Now to the boring stuff he has an A potential in 4 areas and a B potential in 3 other relevant ones, combine that with solid ATH ratings (81, 53, 55) and Fox is an elite prospect. He'll need time to grow like all of these players do, but has the potential to be a special player...or the next Julio De La Rosa.
The Wolves select Luka Doncic with the second pick. The T'Wolves roster is currently pretty void of talent at the moment which is quite the over haul from just 2 seasons ago, a roster that won 50 games highlighted by Wiggins, Gobert, and Pfeffer. But that was then this is now. Doncic is essentially a slightly worse version of Fox. Except all the A's are B's the QKN is a little less, and shooting 3's and passing the ball do not seem to be in Luka's future.
With the 3rd pick the Cavs trade a quarter for 2 dimes and a nickel (#3 for #8, #11, #28). Going strictly by colors this will eventually be a trade of a blue potential player for 2 greens and a future player to be cut later. I could maybe have been talked into it, if it was 8, 10, 11. But the Cavs roster is full of young unrealized potential, I would have liked to see them turn the #3 pick into more of a win now player instead of more young guys. I don't hate the move going for depth, but these rookies take so long to develop that adding MORE of them could be problematic. Bucks select Jarren Jackson a 19 year old prototypical center with good INS, DRB, PSD, and strength.
