4-3 sim. Split with the Kings, but was hoping to do better overall.

Disappointing. Fight our way up to 32-26, end the sim 34-30.

Close losses in cases, beat decent teams. Hard to complain. Dinner if my players responded to small ball.
There's no "I" in team, but you can find "Eat me" if you push it too far.

An oddity to report. I told myself I may have been mistaken on the prior Sim with Redd's injury length, but I checked MULTIPLE times, which was 3 days, and he played in EVERY sim.

I think injury duration does not mean what we think it means.

Can anyone else verify this?

To be clear: I BENEFITTED from this, and I am fairly sure I should not have.

I believe any injury 7 days or less is technically 'day to day' and your player (if included in your DC) will play though not at 100%. They may be more likely to be reinjured, but I don't know if we've seen that happen...

If you go into an injured players page, you'll see there's a couple of different things there. If a player says "out" he can't play. If it's a percentage rather than out, the player can play (I think it has to be above a minimum, but someone else would have to verify). The duration is the time it takes for the player to get to 100% health but he can play before that. Obviously there's a flip side to this which is a player's injury could worsen if not at 100%

Edit: Syndicate has a better grasp of the actual numbers than I do

Went 3-5 and as the East becomes more defined, so does it's spots. 1-4 Pretty much know where they are. 5-7 All jumbled up by a half game and 8-10 is no lock either.

Glad I'll be getting AJ back and the team is fully healthy. Just gotta survive on the road.

Well, I thought Redd was going to miss "most of the sim" for the one prior and did not. He was 24-11 in 47 minutes in game 1.

It would seem charity is in order, PARTICULARLY for playoff matchups... unless I it is clear to everyone else.

To be clear, this playoff thing does not apply to me.

About the player page... That is good if true... Is it? Is this explained anywhere?

Seems best if things like that are explained rather than discovered.

So everyone with 7 days is day-to-day on the player's page, 8 days and up is Out. There is a percentage.

This seems an odd place to store that info, and there is no clear meaning of the percentage, though it seems higher is "better" just by staring at the trends.

Sorry if everyone knew this but me. Part of me is curious who else did not know, but I suppose it does not matter.

Yeah 42, 7 days or under injured and a player can play as he is listed as day-to-day, and anything over he will be out. Be careful about playing those injured players, because we have seen players get hurt much worse and we think there is a greater chance of reinjuring (happened to me very early in this league).

It's one of those things where we don't think to bring this up, because when we started this league we all had to learn this the hard way.

Maybe our newbie guides and information sub-forums could use some remodeling?

I wasn't trying to play an injured Paul. I was trying to set a DC that would work with him when he returned and just deal in between. Same with Redd. I was like, I'll concede several goofy DC's to get a couple where I actually have a chance (with Redd, but without Paul).

Won some big games on the road but dropped 2 games at home to sub .500 teams which is very disappointing. Hopefully getting Francis back will get the bench going again.

Yeah it's always a slippery slope to play an injured guy in a regular season sim. I think most of us really found this out in the playoffs where you're only simming 2 days at a time, it becomes more obvious. Agreed with Tani's point that this could be added to the newbie guides section as although I think most knew, some (obviously) did/do not.

5-2 sim. Every time I look at my team page, I keep laughing at the fact that there are 9 teams with a worse record than me.

I think we'd be close if not for significant injury, but even that is not good enough when you look at the players on paper; meaning, I should have produced more wins than that. Your season and the Sixers last season, at a minimum, show that GM'ing by color is simply not effective. I dare say there are examples in the other direction that say the same thing, too.
