I believe any injury 7 days or less is technically 'day to day' and your player (if included in your DC) will play though not at 100%. They may be more likely to be reinjured, but I don't know if we've seen that happen...42PhD wrote:An oddity to report. I told myself I may have been mistaken on the prior Sim with Redd's injury length, but I checked MULTIPLE times, which was 3 days, and he played in EVERY sim.
I think injury duration does not mean what we think it means.
Can anyone else verify this?
To be clear: I BENEFITTED from this, and I am fairly sure I should not have.

Well, I thought Redd was going to miss "most of the sim" for the one prior and did not. He was 24-11 in 47 minutes in game 1.TheSyndicate wrote:I believe any injury 7 days or less is technically 'day to day' and your player (if included in your DC) will play though not at 100%. It would seem charity is in order, PARTICULARLY for playoff matchups... unless I it is clear to everyone else.
To be clear, this playoff thing does not apply to me.
About the player page... That is good if true... Is it? Is this explained anywhere?
Seems best if things like that are explained rather than discovered.
Yeah it's always a slippery slope to play an injured guy in a regular season sim. I think most of us really found this out in the playoffs where you're only simming 2 days at a time, it becomes more obvious. Agreed with Tani's point that this could be added to the newbie guides section as although I think most knew, some (obviously) did/do not.42PhD wrote:I wasn't trying to play an injured Paul. I was trying to set a DC that would work with him when he returned and just deal in between. Same with Redd. I was like, I'll concede several goofy DC's to get a couple where I actually have a chance (with Redd, but without Paul).
I think we'd be close if not for significant injury, but even that is not good enough when you look at the players on paper; meaning, I should have produced more wins than that. Your season and the Sixers last season, at a minimum, show that GM'ing by color is simply not effective. I dare say there are examples in the other direction that say the same thing, too.Bowtothebill23 wrote:5-2 sim. Every time I look at my team page, I keep laughing at the fact that there are 9 teams with a worse record than me.
