NOT TRADING (Can't trade by rule, RFA signings this off-season, don't ask):
- Lester Conner
- Quintin Dailey
- James Worthy
- Alex English - High-grade scorer, not really part of my plans due to age. Looking for some sort of future asset in return.
- Mike McGee - Backup wing, signed cheaply. Would move him for points (and matching minimum salary).
- Kelly Tripucka - Finals MVP in 1985. Entering his prime. Will be tougher to get than English
- Randy Breuer, Sedale Threatt, Frank Brickowski, John Salley, Mike Brown - Mid- to late-first round picks on rookie scale deals; would be looking for a similar mid-to-late first round pick in return, but fine keeping them as cheap depth too.
- Starting center with excellent rebounding skills
- Starting wing defender (both post and perimeter) - offense not required, but a plus.
- Pass-first backup point guard
- Future assets to help me get the above (i.e., picks or points)
- Cap relief - if I move English or Tripucka, I'd want to try to drop under the luxury tax threshold this season
