QUICK HITS ON EVERY TEAM
Pistons - Great starting lineup. Definitely a competing season. Very little in terms of assets, but they need better depth all throughout the 2nd unit.
Spurs - After an 8-9 start, the Spurs should probably consider cutting cap and gaining points, but their team is still better than the record suggests. Wait for sim 3 to make any solid decisions.
Mavericks - The Mavs have the right idea in trying to trade Clark and Quinones to improve their team in a competing year. I might write more about the Ware deal and why I believe that shouldn't fly, but for now, they can see what that package would get them among other options.
Pelicans - The Pelicans don't have that strong a roster and have several mid guys on long contracts. They should be shopping Markham and Baba Miller to try to build the team around their rookie contract guys in Lee, Cotrill, and Bender
Celtics - After 2 sims, they're the only team in their division with a winning record. They could've swapped Alcindor for a top 10 player in the offseason, and they probably should've. Pairing it with Cruce's contract sooner than later is probably a good idea to maximize the limited number of seasons Clauer will be playing this well.
Nuggets - Kofi Blaq Jr. is on the block, and that's probably a good idea. The Nuggets are sorely lacking a floor general, and any chance at a deep run could be thwarted by an opponent with a great defense that can cause and exploit turnovers.
Jazz - I feel pretty strongly about this, but with Scottie S. Sanders, Booger Smith, and a lot of talented youth, at 6-10 the Jazz are probably an incredible candidate to land Ware...maybe not this season, but next offseason. As long as they keep Sanders and Booger Smith, grabbing Ware and maybe one more player depending on who's available, and resigning Lidell at a more reasonable contract price could vault them into instant contendership. Stock up on points now where you can get them!
Magic - It doesn't matter what I say here. The Magic are going to trade. And it might make sense and it might not. It's hard to tell when there's such an extreme amount of roster movement in a short period of time.
Cavs - Vassell and Isaac are great players, but the Cavs don't really have a great team around them, and that's why they're off to a slow start. They have Elton Harris, who they can move, but I think the bigger issue is that Darius Garland fell off a cliff, so they need to either figure out how to move on from him or how to set themselves up to compete again in a few years once that contract comes out.
Timberwolves - At this point, if I'm the Wolves, I'm going to rebuild. Might be a controversial take, but get a haul for Huo now since the Wolves haven't been able to really put a blockbuster team around him aside from Lenz and some serviceable bigs.
Hawks - This roster is all over the place in terms of age, and it's not winning. I'm putting Looney and Walker on the block and building around Campbell.
Bucks - Now that they're under the tax, there's no need to really seek out deals. Put Wemby, Boehm, and Lucas on the block because they're short term deals that could net future picks, but don't take on any non-rookie long term contracts that aren't any good. Wemby should still be good for a blue pot rookie (though not an ace one) and Lucas and Boehm could net some future draft capital (anything that's not guaranteed to be a shitty late 1st) or green pot rookie contracts.
Pacers - The Pacers are going to be a good team, but I don't think they have much to be able to get that much better. At some point, they could try moving Jones and Bridges, but pretty sure it's diminishing returns on a rebuild package from here on out.
Raptors - I know the Raptors are optimistic, but they had a rinse and repeat formula from last year by signing a few value contract blues when their core isn't quite ready yet. They also don't have anyone resembling a solid PG. Sell the win-now role players and try again next year with Brown, Fudge, and Dick one year closer. Maybe see what you can get for Jizzle James in the offseason.
Rockets - They're off to a hot start, but they don't really have assets to make a significant move. Be as good as you can off Sion, decline Baker's option, and try to strike big in UFA before resigning Baker to a more reasonable deal next season.
Grizzlies - The only team with even a modicum cap space...they're taking on bird year guys, so I can only assume they're going to offer them big contracts as salary pieces for win now deals. Might as well get as many points as you can now.
Kings - The Kings should probably be selling TMIII and even Ndefo, but they probably won't do anything beyond a late season meme dump, and I guess that's fine.
Warriors - The Dubs don't need to do much right now but keep tanking, but I don't want to insure all those players next season. I'd try and get rid of Ramos, JR Smith Jr, and Gilmore at some point to get win now folks, but I also see a conundrum with A'ja Wilson and Kevin Cross being on different timelines. Cross, Stewart, and Claxton are a formidable 3. Fill in the gaps around them next offseason, churn for points and picks now.
Trailblazers - They got Blaze on the block, where he probably should be, but this is a team like the Hawks that's all over the place. With the current roster construction around Quick and only one other tradeable win-now guy and one tradeable rookie contract in Naji Marshall, I'm worried about a winning team with cap space stealing Quick in UFA.
Nets - I guess per their block update, they're trying to trade, but the block looks more like a trash can, and two of the players aren't even guys on the Nets team.
Lakers - Banchero might be a tougher sell now that his athleticism took a big hit, but I feel like somehow between Banchero and Chavez, the Lakers might pull something off and get a better than expected return.
Suns - After Phil Smith's broken leg, the Suns probably are looking to cut salary, but I think they'll have enough points to cover since points are easy to come by and they have an incredible points differential even without him. I expect them to try to move Widener with a contract or two--if nobody wants to take Phil Smith on their books, Chris Bow and Anas Mahmoud are also salary pieces that could be moved.
Bobcats - The Bobcats are kind of mind bogglingly 10-8 after an auspicious first sim, but if I were them, I'd see what this team really needed and stand pat. Behanan and Funkhouser are playing very well, and they're in the same timeline. If the Cats can't stay on the winning side of things, it might be time to move Akins before it's too late.
Wizards - It's finally a Wizards team that, to me, looks as good on paper as their record shows. They're a team with a lot of needs, and the only thing I'm sure of is that I'd want to get under the apron.
Bulls -

Heat - The Heat just got out of tax jail, and as long as they decline team options when the time comes, they should have some pretty open books for next UFA. I'd open those books more by trying to trade Gary Rockwell. The Heat aren't close to competing and Rockwell's value is much higher for a team in immediate need of a PG (and there are a few of them) because theres's a negative chance that whoever has him picks up his team option in a few seasons.
