Agreed. Rookie/Sophomores game MVP should also be awarded a point if they aren't already.pennpanther1 wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 3:00 pm If you make the Rookie/Sophomore game during the All-Star Break you should get a point. Everything else that weekend gets a participation point already so why exclude it from the list?
I despise #2. It's communism, bottom line. Why the **** would I want to help pay off another team's tax bill? They made their bed, let them sleep on it or in this case let them sleep on the streets until they pay up. This would only help out the top teams so I'm automatically against it for that reason.greepleairport wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 2:58 pmI LOVE #2, put it to a voteAngryBanana wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 10:08 am #1: Get rid of paid training. #2: Distribution of tax bill payments to other teams. Where the pot would be broken up every year that is paid and then distributed out to teams with the worst records that are not in debt. This would help promote teams that are struggling in a rebuild have more ability to build their teams up.
#3: Applying a bill TC like Josh suggested.
I think he means the in debt teams pay their debts evenly to shit teams to build up shit teams. In other words the bobcats would benefit from others tax woesdrkavarga wrote:I despise #2. 1. Teams in the tax would be unable to claim this.drkavarga wrote:I despise #2. It's communism, bottom line. Why the **** would I want to help pay off another team's tax bill? About 100 million dead from famine or killed in China and the USSR for one thing lol.greepleairport wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 3:33 pmI think he means the in debt teams pay their debts evenly to shit teams to build up shit teams. What’s wrong with communism anyway?

The NBA also has load management. Should we do that too?AngryBanana wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 3:50 pm1. Teams in the tax would be unable to claim this.drkavarga wrote:I despise #2. 2. The NBA currently does revenue sharing. https://thesportsrush.com/nba-news-nba- ... kdown/?amp

I see one thing I like and that's harsher penalties for repeat offenders. That would be perfect for here. I know we have the penalties but adding more to it to keep teams from doing it over and over again would be ideal.K-100 wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 3:56 pm And luxury tax gets redistributed too

Those were dictatorships touting communism, i'm talking about the philosophy (and not claiming we've had an entire countries or whatever successfully implementing communism, but small communes? yeah some of those have been successful). i'd say the group of PBSL gm's is relatively small and communaldrkavarga wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 4:01 pmAbout 100 million dead from famine or killed in China and the USSR for one thing lol.greepleairport wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 3:33 pmI think he means the in debt teams pay their debts evenly to shit teams to build up shit teams. The best commune was The Manson Family, everyone knows that. We're not at that level yet though but with enough slimy trades we'll reach their level of notoriety in no time at all.greepleairport wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 4:40 pmThose were dictatorships touting communism, i'm talking about the philosophy (and not claiming we've had an entire countries or whatever successfully implementing communism, but small communes? yeah some of those have been successful). i'd say the group of PBSL gm's is relatively small and communaldrkavarga wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 4:01 pmAbout 100 million dead from famine or killed in China and the USSR for one thing lol.greepleairport wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 3:33 pm

The draft lottery is literally how the NBA works and doesn't need any tinkering. don't tank period!drkavarga wrote: Thu Feb 23, 2023 8:55 pm First of all I’d eliminate paid trainings and the draft lottery. Both of those things need to go. The lottery is a joke and has been a joke for a long time. Paid trainings are the cheap way out to getting players up to being blues and purples without a natural progression. Also I’d eliminate the playoff byes and expand it back to 8 teams per conference. No cheap byes or breaks on the way to the championship for anybody.
Disagree about paid training being the only way to develop players. Haun and Leonardo played great for me without any that paid trainings so I don’t want to hear any of that.Black Superman wrote: Sun Feb 26, 2023 3:41 pmThe draft lottery is literally how the NBA works and doesn't need any tinkering. don't tank period!drkavarga wrote: Thu Feb 23, 2023 8:55 pm First of all I’d eliminate paid trainings and the draft lottery. Paid training is the only way to develop players. in real life NBA(again), players put in work and time to get better. The sim doesn't allow for this naturally so we have to influence it by doing the paid trainings. it makes a ton of sense. this is a NBA simulation right? why are we looking to alter the things that happen in the game in real life.
Love the idea of eliminating the playoff bye.
You could “train” all the time and still not get any better. It’s no guarantee. Meanwhile, paid training is a guarantee.drkavarga wrote:Disagree about paid training being the only way to develop players. Xue Hoe, who everyone thinks is amazing (and will get paid in RFA), did not have any paid trainings. I’m sure he’s not alone but he’s a good example that backs up my point. It’s not impossible as its being made out to be but apparently you were lacking in your knowledge about that before responding. It can happen and him being that good alone without trainings derails everything you just said.Black Superman wrote: Sun Feb 26, 2023 7:02 pm It is absolutely the only way "we" can develop players. A player getting better on their own or without training is a thing and possible. But again, are we playing a simulation or not? Players develop, they go into the lab. They go workout with other players, they do workouts, they go to camp. You keep trying to strip away things that are more like the actual NBA for some reason. You clearly are lacking on your knowledge, I mean you want the lottery to go away for Christs sake. Sit this out.
So I can purposely tank, win the lotto and for be a trash team get paid? That's a nice loophole. Let me tank for 5-7 seasons then get enough points to build a Boban. Oh there's no paid trainings anymore. Let me stack all of my those points so I can have 700 points (combined with media and other points claimed) and can be a 4th year repeater forever, after first resetting my tax. I know I am exaggerating lol.AngryBanana wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 10:08 am #1: Get rid of paid training. I'd be happy to expand on it if wanted.

This is the main idea. Though I do worry about sucking getting rewarded whereas doing good should be rewarded handsomely... but some teams suck too much lol. Some teams suck due to lack of engagement. Some teams may not engage because they suck.Eazy P wrote: Mon Feb 27, 2023 12:52 pm
Also back in the day we did have a thing where non playoff teams got a shared cut of tax payments but forgot why it was abolished.
