2023-2024 Knicks Preseason Press Conference

Post by drkavarga »

Hello everyone and welcome to another fantastic season of New York Knicks basketball. Now I know that the other GM’s in the league are looking at this team and cowering with fear. In all honesty I wouldn’t blame them if they did. This team should be at the top of all preseason power rankings with the talent we have here on the roster.

This season my goal is to bring a championship to the Big Apple. We got shooters, passers, rebounders, stealers, and shot blockers. Every team in this league has a weakness and I’ll find a way to exploit it with strategies and tactics.

We brought in Khris Middleton and signed talent in all positions that fit our team first model here. Jokic, Harris, and Dooley are a deadly trio, we’ll be dominating again this season just like last year. Every player on this team is a valuable asset to this team. We’re loaded at all positions and there ain’t nobody stopping this team. We’re going to steamroll through this league like a bowling ball knocking over bowling pins. The Knicks are ready for the season, we’re ready to show why this is the most premier franchise in this league. Get ready for it.

GWR: Looks like Gary Harris took a small step backward. Do you anticipate Jokic stepping up to fill in the gaps?

We’ve got depth in all positions so
I’m confident not just Jokic but multiple players will be stepping up this season. Depth is what separates the weak from the strong in this league.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Gary Harris, Chet Dooley, Khris Middleton, and Isaias Stumpf all look like they've lost a step or two in the athleticism department, though their skills seem to be in tact. As they're all around the age where they're coming down from their peak years, how many years do you give the trio of Gary Harris, Chet Dooley, and Nikola Jokic to win a championship before breaking up the band?

I give it five years but we’ll win three championships by then so I’m not worried about that at all.

I'm not sure if you noticed or if anyone had mentioned this yet, but Gary Harris took a step back this off-season. Who do you feel will be someone that can help make up for his loss?

I don’t feel it’s a loss at all. He hasn’t even played yet so I’m not going to overreact to that. Isias Stumpf would be the player to step up the most in all scenarios and I feel both him and Harris are going to be legit this season.

Nick Melon; The Advocate: What is it about the Knicks that inspired you to take them over last year during their playoff run? How has the learning process been so far since you entered SLOE?

I liked how they played as a team and played solid team basketball which is what I liked. That’s what I was looking for in a team to manage. It’s been a quick learning process but I think I’ve managed it quite well. I’m expecting another solid season this year.
