BSH RFA Guide

Post by ballsohard »

As the RFA deadline approaches, i've decided to put out a RFA guide for the guys who haven't been following along too closely. As we all know RFA is the saltiest time of the year. Most people are looking to get their future stars under a max. Others are trying to make sure you have to pay your stars a full max. While others are trying to get that role-player who plays 8-15 mpg on a super cheap deal. Go check out the Hawks roster if you want some inspiration here. Below is a guide on how much to offer players based off of what they may be able to offer you:

Tier 1
These are the can't miss maxes. You're probably not going to be able to even sign and trade for these guys. They're young. They're good and busting with potential .

Tier Name
1 Aaron Donald
1 Timothy Pulley
1 Alvin Briseno
1 Tua Tagovailoa
1 Damion Williams
1 Erik Haynes
1 Donovan Mitchell
1 J.R. Johnson

Tier 2
These guys usually have talent, make no mistake about it, but they have their flaws. If you're really looking to add talent, you can throw a max bid out and you'll put the person who holds the rights in a real pickle. Too good of a deal and they'll keep the player. This is where the fun happens.

2 Eckbert Winkler
2 James O'Connor
2 Kristaps Porzingis
2 Jaylen Brown
2 Judd Williams
2 Thomas Knecht
2 Andrew Aleman

Tier 3:
This is where you get these 8-15 mpg guys for cheap. Most of the time we're seeing teams grab them for around 3 M per season for 4 seasons and they get a solid back-up to play. If you throw money out there, they'll be yours.

3 Joseph Williams
3 Edward Adorno
3 Joshua Swan

Imho, Aaron Donald is more a Tier 2 because the defense is such an issue, but I agree with the rest!
6 Rings. That's it. That's the tweet.

I see Donald as a 1 because he made the All League 2nd Team and All Defense 2nd Team.

You know who hasn’t though? Erik Haynes.

Boris Hailey and Bonnifaz Wenniger also made all defense and neither one of them has a respectable PSD rating either.
