Eazy P: Good morning to everyone who decided to join us today. Like always we appreciate you being here. We are here today to discuss my team the San Antonio Spurs. As everyone know last season was horrible record wise but there were some positives like Paul Lugo winning Rookie of the year, Arron Magness steady improvement, Beau, Victor, Tua and all of the other guys who have worked hard to become better at their craft. Last season was filled with losing and dealing with owing Sloe's Uncle Sam money. We all Knew that this past season was going to be a long process. These guys are still putting in hard work to get this franchise back to the top of the mountain. Last season we had to make some moves to pay off the tax man by taking on salaries and even trading away young talent like Carlos Bergstrom who we hope do well in ATL. We feel like we are a few more seasons away from contending and fell like these guys will be primed and ready to do what spurs teams in the past have done make playoff runs year in and year out.

Let's talk about how our off-season went, so as the Bulls were winning game 4 we were here in SA looking at the draft file for like the 376th time, knowing nothing would change from when we looked at it the 1st time, scouting potential SA type players who work hard during TC and show accountability. We knew we would be at least top 4 unless a team made a epic jump like the Heat and Suns have made in the past. We knew we were a back court heavy team at the time and we needed a big in the worst way. When we found out our draft position we knew we could get that guy at #3. We had talked to other teams to maybe move back a few spots but decided that It was better to pick our guy at #3. Our scouts were happy with the decision and thought we will have a good guy coming into the fold. With our 2nd pick of the Draft we could've went any route as far as the pick BPA but we went with a guy we feel that fit our team and can one day start at the SG position. After that we just drafted a few project guys for depth.

So draft is over and we sat in the office and was thinking what to do next compete or wait. We were like oh shit we got money to spend now let's see how RFA and UFA go. This would determine if we are going to compete are not. During RFA we sent a few offers that were declined by players but wasn't too worried because most of the time they are matched anyway unless it's a poison pill overbid. After that we moved on to UFA. Our 1st time as a organization using TeamViewer to make bids and felt great about our chances of landing a top tier UFA player. We sent out a couple of max deals but the said player didn't accept because they wanted to play for a winner and that I understand. Once we struck out there that made our choice of what route we were heading this upcoming season easy. We decided to work on getting the young guys better and save our cap space for when we need it.

So now that that part of the year was over we focused solely on TC and help develop these guys game and them to focus on what the final goal is. Those guys got the message and did a hell of a job in the Weight Room and staying late Shooting around and working with staff to get better. One of our guys did have a bad camp and learned that winning ROY doesn't mean that you take a laid back approach to TC. We hope he has got the message and this time next season he get back to the player he was his rookie year. After camp was over we lucked out and claimed Fausto Garrido off of waivers and hope he can have a good year with us. Overall TC was great for our organization and we hope the players on this roster will learn from Paul not to get comfortable and slack.

We may have another bad season record wise but we are looking for cohesion and player growth. With that said If anyone have question feel
free to ask away.

When your team was on the clock for the #3 pick, I would have put money on Ayton being the pick, but you decided to select Wanderlei Silva. What was it that put Silva above Ayton on your prospect list?

Is there a possibility Silva will be redshirted this season?

It came down to his age and potentials. He is a young guy and the only reason in our opinion he wasn't rated high on the board was cause of his stamina which we plan on helping him with. He is a raw player with a huge upside and we believe he will end up being a great player down the road.

There's a strong possibility he will. He isn't ready for playing time at the moment but you never know. Depending on how we feel he may get some minutes here and there. If the G-League was available we would send him there to help further his development

If you had to pick one, what is the most important single attribute or skill of any lone player on your team? For instance Tua's jumping, or Silva's Inside, etc................ Just one.
I still got all my fingers but somewhere I lost my mind.

Spurs fans have been used to winning in recent years. With Westbrook and Josh Smith some think the fanbase has been spoiled. The fans have recently lashed out. The Spurs fan page recently changed from 12_years_a_spur.com to 12_years_a_lotto_team. Can you talk about your timeline for your fans and when they can expect this storied franchise to be back in the thick of things?

Jeff Bower's Jump. He's young and lacks the other attributes but I feel that 100 in jump will help make up offensively in what he lacks there.

It's still up in the air right now but we know a few player earned a spot on the Starting lineup. Guys like Beau, Dexter, Magness to name a few. We still trying to figure out the linup. It may change from sim to sim.

Anything can happen. We all know this is a business and only a few can have the title of 12 years a Spur. We will have to wait and see. I wish we can keep all of these guys for a long time but we realistically Know it isn't possible

We did spoil our fans a bit but as we all know those things don't last forever. Spurs fans know that they will have to be patient with success. It doesn't happen overnight. It's a process and they were there in the beginning when it took us 10 years to go from 1st exits and missing the post season to being a regular in the conference finals. We don't plan on going through another 6 seasons of losing but we are in a good spot right now. With most of the real players on the outs we see our chances of getting back in the fold getting better. 12 years a lotto team won't happen. I won't allow that. As far as a timetable it depends on a bunch of variables. It could be next, the year after but for damn sure it won't be 12 years from now not even 6 years from now.
