There will NOT be any goading or attacking other candidates to create nonsense drama like previous years. Any additional BS posted in threads will be deleted. The campaigning period officially ends at the deadline listed below.
My choice for GMOY is fearthebrow of the Dallas Mavericks. Last season, his team had a record of 21-61; this season, however, he's improved to 53-25. What a turnaround! He made a bunch of great moves during the offseason and thanks to players such as Josh Smith, Ricky Rubio, Dwyane Wade, and even Zach Randolph (RIP), he'll be playoff bound this season. Good shit, mang.

I nominate Darth Vegito, GM of the Charlotte Bobcats. His team changed directions twice in the course of 1 season, surpassed 50 wins FOR THE FIRST TIME IN BOBCATS HISTORY, and is hoping to give the Nets a run for their money in Round 1.
Major Transactions in off-season:
Trade for Kyrie Irving (losing only Lonsuck Ball and a future 1st)
Sign a plethora of bigs (Noah and Aldridge)
Mid-season:
Trade Kanter for Chet dooley and bits
Trade Dooley and Aldridge for Klay Thompson
That's changing your CORE group of players TWICE.. in ONE season. He's running the ultimate small ball lineup with some elite guard play from Wall and Irving. And he's set himself up to make a run at some big name RFAs prior to resigning all of his expiring blues.
He's a GM in a class of his own. He is Darth Vegito. He is your next GMOY.
paid for by Friends of DarthVegito for GMOY because Chad wouldn't want us to vote for him or nominate himself
Earlier this season, I approached Hamilton for his stud center Whiteside. From my perspective, he didn't have much around him and would ultimately need to focus on a rebuild with Dirk Hardpeck as one of his core players. His response was something to the effect of "I have a few plans in mind but if my season doesn't work out I'll let you know."
Needless to say we didn't revisit the trade, and that's because his plans really worked out. Since that conversation, Hamilton acquired Kemba Walker, Iman Shumpert and Evan Turner through trades, and was able to add LeBron James in free agency. He went from 39 from 56 wins, from a .3 point differential to 7.2 point differential. He flirted with the Central division crown all season before finally losing out to the Detroit ADs by a game. And he did it without mortgaging his future, as he has his picks. For a while the team looked bleak after Chris Paul left, but Hamilton has done a great job of bringing back success and hope to Cleveland, and for that he deserves consideration for GMOY.

KANTER FOR CHET WAS IN THE OFFSEASON. SINCE THIS IS INACCURATE YOU HAVER LOST MY VOTE.
Hey y'all- I'm nominating myself. No one likes talking about themselves so I'll keep it short.
-brought back Paul George (All NBA 3rd team this season), James Harden, Marcus Smart (All Defense First team this season), and Dario Saric.
-traded for DeAndre Jordan, winner of defensive player of the year
-put together a bench of vet mins that wasn't crap
- survived the Eastern conference bloodbath by going 40-12 in the conference, and earned top East seed.
- won the Southeast, a Division loaded with venerable GMs, by going 13-3.
-won 66 games, best overall record in the league (and I believe a new Magic record as well as personal)
-picked by the computer as GMOY
