Last season clearly exceeded anyone's expectations of how far the Magic could go. We are very proud of that team. However, that team was riddled with older, declining players and we felt that success would not be sustainable with that core. So we decided to rebuild.NickMalone77 wrote:Nick Melon; Charlotte Observer: What happend to the PR department? It feels like nobody is here. And what compelled you to blow it all up after you made the finals?
Jason Kidd was an incredible player for this franchise. He led the Magic on an magical run to the NBA Finals and we will always be thankful for that. However, we felt that it was unfair for him to waste the best years of his career on a team that we felt would not be able to succeed with its current makeup. So we sold Kidd to the highest bidder in return for what we think was a great trade. So, as a final answer to your question, I would tell the haters to continue being my motivators.Snuglife91 wrote:Some people think trading Kidd in his prime was a huge gamble. What would you say to them?

You have been fined by the league office for 50 points for cursing during a media event. :dcoltsguy510 wrote:F*ck off ya baby back bitchballsohard wrote:What a shitty presser, John. *walks out-*

I felt that the team had achieved all it could. The Atlantic may be an awful division currently, but the Central is starting to look very formidable. Also, I felt that my players were at their peak in terms of trade value.PaulyP wrote:Jon Snow, WSN. The Atlantic division is the worst its ever been so why did you decide to blow it up when you could have easily dominated it for the next 2-3 seasons?
Maybe, I don't know. But being a contender is very stressful if I'm honest.Soundwave wrote:Clark Kent, Daily Planet:
Honest question, do you enjoy the rebuild more than the stress of being in the finals?
