The Top of the Draft: 1993-1994

Post by 42PhD »

1. Chris Webber. Drafted by Timberwolves, traded to Rockets after 9 seasons. No titles.

2. Anfernee Hardaway. Drafted by Mavericks, traded to Hawks after 7 seasons. 4 titles, 2 in Dallas, 2 in Atlanta.

3. Sam Cassell. Drafted by Heat, traded to Warriors after half a season. 1 title with (Kemp's) Warriors.

4. Vin Baker. Drafted by Sonics, traded to Lakers after 6 seasons. 1 title with Lakers.

5. Shawn Bradley. Drafted by Trailblazers, traded to Knicks after 6 seasons. No titles.

This was a great class for titles. 6 titles, 2 with the team that drafted the player. Those two titles were by a single player, and that player is Hardaway. I'm not sure this speaks well for the draft (in general) or the player, but considering that he was traded, you didn't need to draft Hardaway to win with Hardaway.
There's no "I" in team, but you can find "Eat me" if you push it too far.
