How did the re-sim change your season?
If it didn't whose do you think it did?
What are the implications?
Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.
Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5, 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.
How did the re-sim change your season?
Gained a win against the Clippers and didnt lose Johnny Dawkins for 40+ days so overall it was a great success. I imagine the sim gods will find a way to even the score down the road but right now the Mavericks cannot complain. I get to continue my coasting and hit "same" on the depth chart so I'm pleased.
What are the implications?
Since everything went my way in the resim, I expect something ridiculous soon. The computer never forgets. I'll take the good now and brace for impact later. All is good in Dallas.
How did the re-sim change your season?
Technically, It changed my season my season for the worse. I was 8-4 and possibly looking like I could make a decent playoff push. I even reached out to a few teams about certain players to add to my roster. But then the re-sim happened and now I'm 5-7. Essentially putting me in a spot of if I have another bad sim or two, I'm probably gonna go into tank mode. Even though that was my original plan going into this season.
If it didn't whose do you think it did?
If I remember correctly, I think the re-sim derailed the Nets season. They seemed to be in a decent spot to try and compete for the division and now they're also in a worse spot like me.
What are the implications?
It seems like not too much really changed overall. The top teams stayed at the top, the bottom teams stayed at the bottom and the middle teams just kinda got shuffled around in the middle.
How did the re-sim change your season?
It didn't. We finished with the same record, but who we lost to was different. There was one standout concerning loss, but it's still early in the season.
If it didn't whose do you think it did?
I don't know why I'm talking about the Blazers so much, but the re-sim was a godsend for them. Not only did Worthy's injury mysteriously heal, but they snapped out of their Sim 1 doldrums immediately, improving to 8-5 and firmly re-establishing themselves into the playoff mix.
The East also became a bit less competitive. Previously there were only 2 teams that weren't close to being .500 (if I'm remembering straight), and now there's 3, all in the Atlantic. Even the Bulls are now 6-7, meaning that a good Sim 3 could delay the expected teardown for another few sims at least.
What are the implications?
Again, it's early in the season, so any setbacks can easily be made up for. Judging by the lack of injuries this sim as opposed to the deleted one, this was actually a boon for the league overall.

The re-sim blessed me with more wins, as I went from 8-3 to 10-1. 10-1 looks way better (even though its only really a 2 game difference)... The silver lining is that this +2 game change came while McHale was out, so it helps me to sustain winning while without his help. Hopefully we can continue through Sim 3. Terry Tyler also seemed to make a more prominent impact on the team overall this sim... maybe the post sim 2 v1.0 trade talks were incentive to put in the work when he got the redo.
I think the Clippers have expressed frustration with the outcomes of re-sim 2 and this could really shake up the trade market & potential landscape of the league if Sim 3 goes poorly. Suddenly 3 heavy hitters could become available and shift the power from West to East or at least open up a playoff spot for someone on the outside looking in.
I don't know how to feel about the impact of the resim on my team.
I was already selling all my pieces to turn and tank, but having my record go from 7-7 to 5-9 didn't make me happy at all. And that was with the resurrection of Bill Cartwright.
Don't get it at all, but I guess it really is random.
I was surprised to see some teams drop even further out of contention with strong rosters.
The Nets situation is crazy.

Due: Deadline for Sim 3
The impact wasn't on our record (only changed by a game) but on the injury report - James Worthy is back 51 days early. The implications are simple - now the BluntforceTraumaBlazers aren't scrambling to fill space around an all-star-sized hole. So we are probably able to consider Alex English trade offers on 12/15 now, where we couldn't have before.
The other team I think it affected most was the Kings... I've never seen a team so upset at WINNING two extra games in a re-sim. Darth's chances at the #1 overall pick this season were hurt significantly.
Well, my record didn’t change, but I lost to the spurs instead of the 76ers, righting some obvious question marks in the sim universe.
…but most importantly, I had a deal lined up in the preseason that blew up after the re-sim completely. Granted it wasn’t looking good because fingers were already getting pointed when it came time to close the deal (you said this, now youre saying that, whaaaat (and we both said that about each other lol)), but I think the end result keeps my team hovering around .500, deep in the tax, and now I’m just hoping the bulls tank (that pick got theoretically worse too, though, with them winning an extra game).
Who put a sim curse on the nets?? And the clippers? Jfc (Edit: and the kings lmfao @ their 2 wins)
Blazers get better after sim 1, we get it, do they have to be THIS much better already?? Damn.
Look, shenanigans are abound, and I don’t think they end in lucky number S7 after this re-sim. Strap in folks, legs will break (probably Tom’s) and I will enter SLOE Existentialism.
