Let’s get this show started, we have a lot to be excited about!
First, let’s talk about last season. We know we didn’t win it all but last season was a success that we hope to build on moving forward. We all remember that 9 win season but we made some moves, drafted Wilkins, and we came storming back to a 41 win season and a playoff appearance. We are hopeful this will mean better things to come in the future. We even had to go through the toughest division in the league to get to the playoffs and we handled our own. We loved having Kareem on our team, as well as Ray Williams, but we also felt we had to go a different direction in order to really push our team forward. We are forever grateful for the work they put in to help our team grow and be better prepared for the future. Also, how about that #3 defense in the league? We’re hoping we can replicate that again this upcoming season. Now while we are excited for how last season went, we are definitely not satisfied. We’re hungry for more and we believe we can go even further this season.
Now to talk more about this season. I will be honest, the vision I had for this team before the draft is different than what we have now. We were thrown a curveball and had to adapt but I still believe we’re in a better position than we were before. We were sad to have to deal away our 1st round pick in Steve Stipanovich and wish him the best of luck, hopefully we can find a way to get him to return to us in the future. But we made some moves and got Mychal Thompson, RIckey Green, and Purvis Short who we believe are ready to take this team to the next level. Schayes, Wilkins, and Cook all took a step forward this TC and now everyone looks like a true veteran. We have the ability to have 6 players who can start so hopefully that works in our favor. And we look like we have a strong core in place for the next few seasons. As long as we can find a way to generate some more offense than last season, we should be able to improve on the 41 wins.
GWR: Seems like there are a lot of cooks in the kitchen. Who do you think is going to take the mantle of Executive Chef by the time the season is over?

It's no secret that we want to see Wilkins lead this team. He's still very young but even then last season he proved he's more than ready for this league. But at the end of the day, we need everyone. So if Wilkins takes a step back, statistically, but the rest of our team takes a step forward, then I'm happy. But when it breaks down, look for Wilkins to put the team on his back
Charlie Chuck, Copperville Chronicles: Your drafting and moves have turned your team around from a bottom dweller to a playoff team. My question is, "What happened to the chicky chicky parm parm?!? I was told there would be some and maybe it ran out? I mean these fish sticks are fine I guess, but I'm craving some red sauce."

One good season isn't enough for chicky chicky parm parm. We need to put together consistent, winning seasons before we can start pulling out top tier food. If all goes well this season, we could be looking at a whole buffett of chicky chicky parm parm and I promise I'll set some aside just for you.

I’m flying into Seattle (landing in 40 min) with a 12 hr layover…. Any suggestions?
Wallingford Center is a nice spot to go for some shopping. There's always the German House as well as some of our Underground Tours. And of course you should check out the Pike Place Market, great spot for visitors
You mentioned the blood bath that is the Pacific Division.
Would you say you are at a point where you want to contend for the division?
Or are you still building?

What will be Lionel Hollins role be with your team?
We're looking to him to be a very valuable defensive depth piece. We know where he's it in his career so we don't expect much. Just hope he can help give our starters some rest while also stopping the other team from scoring

I think we are still at least one season away from being a true contender for the division. This division is tough as hell and it looks like everybody got better. Remember, we made the playoffs and we were the 5th best team in the division, that's how deep it is. Hopefully one more good TC and a solid FA next offseason can really put us into the conversation for top team in the division.

For me, it was about getting another big to go with Schayes. We felt we were really deep at guard so we were ok with making the move. Danny Ainge was definitely a favorite in the locker room but we needed to make sure we solidified our entire starting lineup. We did feel like we got the better end of the deal but even then, we won't know who "won" the trade until the end of the season
