Test TC Season S63

Post by AngryBanana »

Here is something new I thought I would try to help everyone with TC training. I recently realized that I had my node access restored. I also realized that next to no one has the ability to run test TCs. So rather than offer to do one offs to whoever, why not get some points out of it! For anyone who have never had a node, this one particular event, TC, allows us to play with test runs to potentially see how things happen when we try different training styles. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE BELOW IS NOT GUARANTEED TO HAPPEN. TC is a very volatile event, and no matter how many times you run test sims you will never be guaranteed to see consistency from the final run compared to your tests. For example, when I ran test sims last night, Tommie Williams fluctuated from y/y tank job to g/b glorious vet min signing. One made me look like a genius who found a gem in FA, while the other made it look like I should cut ties immediately. So please take the below with a certain grain of salt. At the same time, Antonio Gates consistently went blue/purple which I am hoping stays consistent tomorrow night (I probably just jinxed myself). I would more so look at this for trends, where maybe you will have an idea of who you should throw your protections at and who you think should be tossed out to make your player cut. With that in mind, let us look at each team's results from this test run. I have also attached a google sheets project to give you the numbers behind the run, not just the colors.

Now I am also realizing that the article will not let me upload more than three photos... what a hassle. Well there goes article of the year. Anyways, I have included it in the google sheets attached. Moving forward if I am able to do this, it will probably only be in the spreadsheet format, and no commentary. IF you wish to mess with the spreadsheet in anyway, go ahead and put it in your own excel sheet or google sheets. Anyways the spreadsheet is broken down as follows:
Pre TC breakdown of the players
Post test TC breakdown of the players
The change from pre to post TC of the players
Photos of your teams results

Bobcats

Insure: Funkhouser, Banks, Bulut

The Bobcats, as I have said in previous articles, may actually be starting to build something here. Look no further than Bulut and Banks to see what they have been doing right recently. The two, who are the highest risers on the bobcats, also have a top 20 TC in this test. This is good for Dr.K, who still has two seasons left of these two before both going to RFA. Funkhouser also had a decent TC, which is also hopeful. If I was Dr.K these would be the three at the very least that I would protect. The hard part will be for him to decide who to cut as most people had a positive TC. Im sure there are some vet mins that they can cut, even though you know they are not afraid of their dead cap space.

Bucks:

Insure: Ware, Clauer, Wallace

Victor Wemby has finally hit Purple currents! That is the most important thing here. All else can be a small mover on the scale, but a good TC for Victor is exactly what the Bucks want. However, to then see that he had the third best TC is also a good sign. Looks like Ware has another positive foot forward and Ebbe Clauer may be someone to look out for as a big jumper too. The Bucks take a good step forward with their roster this season and will continue to be a problem for everyone.

Bulls:

Insure: Johnson, McClung, Brown

The biggest hurt here is that Gauss is going to get hit. While the Bulls may not consider themselves championship caliber this season, I think that keeping Gauss from getting decapitated by the sim scythe would be a nice thing to see. To balance that out, they had a pleasant surprise in Colton Johnson. A green guard who still has three years left on his rookie deal. He had a better sim than both Mac and Ayo. Josh is going to hope that this stays consistent to give him another piece to build with. Hopefully he doesn’t bounce the other way, which may have Josh considering to spend extra on him for insurance or kick Brown out of protection. All in all, it goes about as expected for them the young players get a good bump and the older guys take a hit.

Cavs:

Insure: Vassel, Marota, Isaac

The laughing stock of the league has finally managed to put a decent build together. Seeing Karlo go to blue should not upset the Cavs at all, as it is mostly superficial I think. He will still produce at a high clip this year. He may even have his best season after leaving the championless Lakers for I guess greener pastures (if you can say anything about Ohio is an improvement?) All in all, they will have to look at who they are going to cut for this as they also have a lot of people.

Celtics:

Ill insure whoever I freying want…

Man. writing this has already managed to get stale for me. I am still going to put this out so everyone can see, but I apologize as I already expect my analysis to go even further in the toilet. Oh hey, Gates is blue and my rookies didnt die, I’ll take it when it counts please.

Grizz:

Insure: KC, Holified, Bryant

They really dont have much going on here given their tax situation. That being said KC is turning into a pretty good prospect that can either be flipped, or hopefully still around when they are done their tax burden.

Hawks:

Can the Hawks insure their whole team? I mean seriously he has at least five players i would consider trying to save. If they weren’t so dormant, I would be looking to trade some of these guys for more win now players.

Jazz:

Man. I am already done with this I think. Lets just go with the screenshots and I will let everyone make their own opinions since they will anyway…
