Best Starting 5 Tourney - E.Conf. Semis: VOTE BY 8AM 7/30!!!

Post by kucoach7 »

Here is the link to the Western Conference Semifinals voting page.

The numbers have had their day but now it is time to let the people speak. Here are the final four teams from the Eastern Conference. Vote to decide who moves on to the conference finals.

Match-up 1
Boston Celtics
Alonzo Mourning C 39.3
Orlando Woolridge PF 21.7
Clyde Drexler SF 23.7
Mitch Richmond SG 23.8
Steve Francis PG 24.7
The surprise here for me was Woolridge but he was a little before my time.

VS

Milwaukee Bucks

Shaquille O'Neal C 31.4
Terry Catledge PF 22.5
Dominique Wilkins SF 28.8
Jalen Rose SG 31.2
Terrell Brandon PG 20.9
Another weird PF pick. This could get interesting if one of these teams makes the finals and matches up against C-Webb, Kemp, or the Mailman

Match-Up 2
Indiana Pacers
Patrick Ewing C 33.7
Derek Strong PF 22.1
Paul Pierce SF 25.3
Stacey Augmon SG 30
Dee Brown PG 22.9
The Pacers may be a surprise to some of the newer GMs but these guys were tough back in the day.

VS

Atlanta Hawks

Rik Smits C 25.8
Antonio McDyess PF 26.5
Grant Hill SF 22.7
Latrell Sprewell SG 26.7
Anfernee Hardaway PG 35.8
Hmmm. . . This lineup looks familiar, just switch out Big Ben for a in-his-prime Smits

Augmon and Ewing terrorized defenses. Add Paul Pierce's outside threat and you have a near unstoppable team
Pacers Ring of Honor
P.Ewing (90-93, 98) - R.Pierce (90-91) - S.Augmon (91-96) - D.Brown (93-96) - D.Strong (91-97, 99-02) - P.Pierce (98-05, 12-13) - D.Williams (05-17) - I.Shumpert (11-16) - D.Dedmon (13-18) - J.Williams (19-25, 31-32)

Very interesting starting 5 for me. I would think
C: Zo
PF: Coleman
SF: Drexler
SG: Mitch
PG: Hardaway

But my strength was always my bench, if that was my 5 I could have Kukoc, Marshall, Porter, Coles, Gilliam, and Francis off the bench
