Knicks 50th Season Presser

Alright, alright, alright, it's time for another season of Knicks basketball. This season is the 50th in the PBSL so this is a big season for everyone. That said I guess that I just barely missed having this dramatically read on some talk show yesterday. However we did bring back Bulter and drafted Douglas Haun in the first round so we're set at the C position. We also resigned Modestine Degrimonpon as well. We have a well rounded and improved team with Simpson, Hatcher, Minter, Barr, Boulton, Hardy, McIntyre, and Hodges on the roster. Lujan was on fire in the preseason and Bye is on the verge of becoming a big star. Jordan is going to recover nicely from his injury last season I think. I feel we are going to be definitely improved in the areas of fouls, turnovers, and defense which were our weak points last season. I think we overall are much improved which will allow us to fly under the radar which is a positive. That will allow for the team to sneak in some wins and make some waves in the league. I feel this is the best Knicks team we've had since our last playoff team so hopefully the team proves me to be right by the time the playoffs come around.

Ken Quackenbush turned down your offer to take less money in New Orleans. Does losing that asset disrupt the championship timeline?

Chet Youtbetcha, Dimmadome News: You mentioned last year that you were in search of your big three, with Bulter being one of them. Are you any closer to obtaining the big three that you were looking to compile?

You were quite active on Day 2/3 of UFA and signed several players to modest, cost-controlled contracts. Which of your players do you think you got the best value deal on this offseason?

No because it allowed us to get more roster depth with that leftover money which will help us out this season.

Yes we are. Bye is looking like the second of the big three. Jordan and Lujan are both looking good too. Might be another season but I like what we have. It's more of a complimentary style roster that has roleplayers and good depth.

Michael Evan too. We might have the big 3 already.

Hardy or Hodges is most likely I think it could be but Lujan is playing good in the preseason so I'll go with Modestine. He's a vet with a lot of experience that can help out if needed with scoring and rebounding.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: With the divisions being reshuffled, how does your competition in Wiggins stack up against your former competition in the Mourning Division?

Random Reporter: What the hell happened to former Rookie of the Year and "core piece" Jerald Alexander?

He's walking my dog. Try trolling some other GM with that Skip Bayless style question.

I think it's a tougher division overall. The Bulls, Timberwolves, Nuggets, Magic, and Heat are all franchises who have had recent success. Hell a lot of them are multiple time league champions. That said it's going to be a dog fight and I do think people are sleeping on this team. I think we're criminally underrated and will make some noise this season.

No but I figured out how to get roleplayers on good budget contracts. And what kind of question is that? That's like asking if the Bucks are ever going to trade Blakemore and Mitchell. We all know the answer is no.
