Season 52 was an inconsistent one in Philadelphia. The first two months featured some pretty mediocre .500 basketball but as the calendar turned over to 2042, the Sixers managed to hit their stride as the team became more cohesive. However as the playoffs loomed, it would prove to be another difficult postseason for Philly faithful. As the #3 seed, the Sixers faced off in R1 against an underrated Pacers squad who managed to keep the series tight eventually losing in six games. Round 2 was even more challenging as the upstart #7 Trail Blazers played like true giant killers in Portland to force a nail-biter game 7 only to lose a heartbreaker in the final minute. However, the Omega Conference Finals were another story. The Sixers were simply outmatched at every position against the Clippers as Los Angeles put Philadelphia out of its misery in 5 games. Yet another disappointing playoff finish for the 76ers.
This offseason the squad sought to add more talent across the board. The 76ers were able to buyout Corey Brooks and Jules Harms on draft day and retained Cassius Winston, Ronald Haile, and Chris Rice on UFA Day 1. Additionally, the Sixers managed to inject some talented youth to the roster this offseason by signing Benton Stack, George Schott, and Francis Fountaine to join Levi Mata on the second unit. Overall, I think the 76ers are in the Final Four conversation, however with many new faces in the locker room I hope this season they get off to a faster start than years past before we start thinking about the playoffs.
Projected Starting Lineup
C - Jules Harms
PF - James Wiseman
SF - William Pearman
SG - Corey Brooks
PG - Cassius Winston

Score more points than they do.

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News: I know you paid Winston a heavy price this off season. Do you think he will live up to the contract?
nope

Is James Wiseman's scoring dip in preseason a concern?
Not really. Adding Corey Brooks to the mix means less shots for everyone, but I'd like to see Wiseman's shooting percentages bounce back to their usual levels by day 60.

I've been a fan if Corey Brooks' game for awhile. Tell us what attributes you saw in him to bring him in and how you think he fits on this team.
Very capable rebounder and his scoring touch is clutch. Very excited to see him help clean up the glass this season at the 2 spot.
