Trade of the year has to be the Clippers/Raptors trade. The Clippers got a stud in Gary Loredo, who is the best player on his team. He also went from a middling team looking to compete for a lower seed in the playoffs with a young core, to a bonafide top end team with this trade. The Raptors also got a great rebuilding package consisting of McAlister, and two ones. McAlister along with whoever Light get's in his draft this season with his high pick will for sure have him set for the future, or he can flip the assets for a win now piece to go with McAlister and the cap room he has already secured for next season.

Nets and Kings swapping Olney (and stuff) and Hector. The Kings knew they needed a presence down low that could cause problems for other teams and can away with a guy capable of 20-10 and it obviously made a big difference. The Nets ended up disappointing last season and this one but moved to start a reset so got Olney who is young and very good and also a Y/B rookie in Galloway to boot.

Jazz / Raptors

Darth had buyers remorse after TC, but he got what most of the league has coveted for the past several seasons: a solid PG. Not just a solid one, the best. Even after TC arguably. Soundwave scored the youth and picks anyone could desire for a player like Dangerfield, and his reset is fully in motion.
Somehow I manage.

Bucks/Blazers
Blazers Receive:
De'Aaron Fox
Brian Grinder

Bucks Receive:
2039 Blazers 1st Round Pick (#4 Overall)
2041 Blazers 1st Round Pick
Bertram Pugh
Mykal Henry

Most of the trades involved the Clippers, Jazz, Wizards, or Pelicans. The first two teams have gotten nominations and the latter two teams traded and traded back, so I'd like to highlight another deal.

De'Aaron Fox didn't get the Blazers to the playoffs, but it was the type of home run swing I think needs to be rewarded. If ajburman wasn't so fresh in the league, he probably would've been able to better navigate putting an effective team around Dort and Fox. Let's hope the Blazers have a good offseason, though. If that 2041 Blazers 1st is any good, Doug gets 3 solid rookie contract guys for Fox, which is way more than the younger, more effective Gary Loredo fetched.

Still, vote for this trade and asterisk it in a way where Doug doesn't get any points out of it. He already got enough out of the deal, and the Blazers need to be rewarded for their boldness.
