Kings/Spurs

I think the Kings/Spurs deal involving Lewis for Whitley was an outstanding trade for both sides. Lewis is a stud, where Tani’s team did struggle this year, he will still have a solid player to compete for the next few years with that he did not have before. Another year of the Kings younger players development will also make this team even more deadly moving forward, as either trade chips or comp pieces.

The Spurs also got a pleasant surprise out of Whitley, where they expected him to take a few seasons to develop, where he averaged over 20 ppg on a .500/.914/.359ing averages in only his age 22 season. He should win MIP, and it should not even be close. I think he is going to be a problem for the league next to Yandell for years.

Pels/Cavs

Look, this was the most infamous trade of the year. It belongs here. But I also think time told it wasn't the shellacking of a trade it was made out to be either. The Cavs are rebuilding around BBJ and Dodge wasn't a necessary player in that. Derick Hunter also served as a flip piece for a future Cavs trade and acquired a dope Conrad McRae in the deal (with an option he can decline).

We can all have our own opinions, but without controversy I feel this deal worked out quite well for both parties...and while no deal should bust over a couple of points, 10 probably would have been more appropriate, but whatever, TRADE OF THE YEAR
Somehow I manage.

Bulls/Mavs

Probably not the best trade for both teams in the future but its the most impactful for THIS season as adding Gibson has made Josh a damn Juggernaut. Mavs got a solid young player and a nice current player for an expiring contract so I GUESS it could've been worse ha.

Bucks/Pacers

Pacers send Blakemore and 10pts

Bucks accept.
A rare win/win trade for two teams in a win now mode. Morant's taken the Pacers to the top of the conference and the Bucks were able to get a bit younger, reduce some tax liabilty, and appear likely to win the division again with career highs from Blakemore.

"Magic send:

Joshua Schumann

Nets send:

Tres Trinkle
Titus Edmonson
2039 Nets first round pick
2041 Nets first round pick
10 points"

I thought this was obviously a great move for Ed to make the Nets a very strong force in Alpha, and though I feel like Schumann in a vacuum is more valuable than the return Andy got...I know from going after Schumann myself that this was the best offer out there. It's not a bad return, either. Tres Trinkle is a point getting machine as he'll be winning dunk contests forever, Titus is already churned for points, 2 1sts add to Andy's massive haul, and it's another example of one of the many trades Andy made to stockpile a bunch of assets for the future.
