Its the one that got Chicago back on a championship track and gave the Raps a great piece to help a rebuild.

Thunder / Raptors

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=9268

Thunder had decided to just go for the playoffs this year and got a strong win-now center on an expiring contract and Raptors gained an already strong prospect and Carter, shedding a little salary, too. Win win
Somehow I manage.

Kings send
Bryce Dejean-Jones
Spurs 2036 1st

Clippers send
James Kirkendall
Joffrey Baratheon
Clippers 2036 1st
Clippers 2037 1st
Even though it was a trade that had to be re-accepted (the bane of inputters everywhere), I motion that this trade deserves consideration. PG was the one position that the Clippers needed to justify risking a season of tax jail, and they got BDJ for a price that won't hurt them. The Kings didn't really seem to want to hold out for better deals this offseason (arguably, a Jazz 2036 pick was better return for Udoka in a vacuum, but it didn't boost the Jazz enough to have Trade of the Year impact).

Meanwhile, the Kings were able to turn Kirkendall into a 2036 Nick pick. I'd argue that since the Spurs are at the beginning of a championship swing and the Clippers are almost surely in their last year, the 2036 Clippers 1st will be better than the Spurs, and while neither the Pelicans 2036 or Clippers 2037 are guaranteed to be any good (a lot of Omega GMs will have to quickly turn things around for that to be the case), it's not easy to move a 50mm contract for a guy north of 30.

F Josh Jackson
G Leroy Haugh
This deal gave the Knicks a first (always handy for a rebuild) and some points to chip off the tax bill. PaulyP got a true stud player, albeit an older one, to pair with Fox and to really push himself into true contender status.

This trade is pretty overlooked in the mix of some super splashes made this season, but Carlos acquired his 2nd leading scorer (tied at 20.8ppg) and multi-time champion in Cliff Paugh for the measly price of a late 1st (eventually) and developmental player in Ronald Jordan. NOLa has the opportunity to be patient with Jordan, and Carlos got a win now contender hot off the heels of a championship with the Kings looking to score in on another.

While I almost went with Quail's slime infested trade with the Jazz, I think the return for both sides in this deal was outstanding. Quail got a point guard who fits in line with his current build and helped him compete right now, where JNR got two solid young players to build around. Cheatham is scoring over 17 points a game as a Y/G player, and Harker is a Y/B who will turn into a great player with time as well.

This already won trade of the year last season.

That’s how good I thought it was.

Lakers accept. Thanks for the talks, pretty painless once i understood facts lol, so thanks for your patience too!
Inarguably and officially the most pivotal and deciding trade of the season, now meeting in the conference finals. I hate to self-nominate twice, but come on, this is officially in the conversation gents. Was it right or was it slimy? We're about to find out...
Somehow I manage.
