Kings Presser

Post by NOLa. »

Hello and good morning to all.

This is truly a moment to reflect on the Kings franchise. From the 90s era dominated by Karl Malone then Tracy McGrady through the mid-2000s, to the traitorous Duren reign and the Erik Haynes foundation, the Kings always had a future planned even at the expense of the current season.

This is not true for the first time in history. The absence was too long.

I honestly have no idea who over half these players are on the team. This is not an exaggeration, I literally never heard of them before. Another general manager ask me about one of our better players and my response was "who?"

Below are some common questions or talking points, my answers in quotes.

So let's start with the offseason:
I didn't participate.
Now that we are done with that long boring ass story, let's tell the tale of last season's results:
I never looked.
Try not to get too overloaded with the details.

How was training camp:
They look the same.
Captivating.
Okay.
How was preseason?
I thought it was the first sim.
The floor is now open.

GWR: So now that you're slowly getting back into the swing of things, how long do you see this rebuild lasting?

It may take a while which is my fault. Depending on the league contraction and what happens there it actually could speed things up, but without that I'm seeing a good few seasons before I can even think about realistically competing.

Is there a current player on your team you expect to be part of your next title contender?

It has to be Yandell. He's not great but at least he can make shots. Everyone else doesn't look even remotely good.

I see you acquired Briseno this offseason, who has played a great few seasons in the league. Though he's getting old, do you have plans for him?
Somehow I manage.

Are there plans to try to bring back Jeffrey Duren for one final run?

To add to this, i presume it’s a run to the lottery

To be honest I forgot he was on my team. My plans are to pay him more than what he’s worth and free up that sweet sweet cap space.

We have a policy of not signing snakes on this team. I have yet to get an apology from him.

Don’t need snakes to sliver into a top pick.
