Vaughn Vaccaro was recently seen at Chicago Yacht Works scoping out luxury nautical equipment. Rumor has it that Vaccaro has already received some generous offers for "a whole yacht of money"

The Nets have been disappointed that Marquese Chriss refuses to return their phone calls. From what I'm hearing, he is sick of the bright lights and big city and wants to go to a place where he can get paid a lot of money but have no expectations to succeed and no pressure. He's having a hard time making up his mind between Oklahoma City and Indiana.

Ramsay Bolton was spotted in his old stomping grounds of Toronto earlier this week. When asked what he was doing there, he smiled and said only "winter is coming."

Hearing that Victor Newman of the Spurs is not happy with the team's recent acquisition of "Juicy" James Gebhart. Newman is afraid Gebhart will eat into his minutes and is looking for commitment from an owner that will give him lots of playing time. New Orleans is supposedly high on his wish list, but with Nick Malone on cruise control, will he even get a phone call from them?

World B. Free, stung that the Heat benched him for two seasons and didn't have the decency to get good players around him with their picks those two years, has told the Heat he will not be resigning and has begged them not to match when he signs in Sacramento. Word is GM logpmess laughed in his face when he begged...

Calculating the Bobcats are 100 points away from paying the tax and if they had written 25 points of articles each season they'd be out.

Sources are telling me that with a limited market for shooting guards, expect the Miami Heat to make a legitimate run at Keith Pfeffer. "He's our guy", somebody in the front office was quote as saying.

Sources close to the Golden State Warriors are reporting that their most recent draft pick, Ernie Long, is more than excited for the upcoming season: "Entering my rookie year, I feel like I have a lot to prove. Hopefully the GM doesn't sign any other big men during free agency cuz I want to eat up as many minutes as possible." As it currently stands, Long would be their starting center heading into the regular season.

Overheard in Tim Locklear's condo after day 2 of UFA:

“He paid me,” Locklear said of drkavarga's contract offer to him. "That f***ing drkavarga maxed me."

Locklear added, “He’s so generous,” repeating it four times.

Lockear then said he wanted to add drkavarga to the list of GMs he has buy him lunch this summer.

Gary Harris yelled, “There you go!” Melvin Mccall gave a look of pleasant surprise. Chet Dooley belted, “We got a f****** squad now.” And before Tim Locklear hit the locker room door, ex-Knicks star Ted Adams hugged him & said, “Y’all look so overpaid.”

In odd news today, sources around the league say Knicks GM varga is growing tired of his rivalry with the Bucks and has switched to challenging the Grizzlies and Bobcats. His reasons are that he wants to out-tank and out-delinquent their tax burden at once, rather than through a series of steps like actually competing then paying for the tax.

Mike Piazza is incredibly excited for training camp: "The last time I was this excited was on September 21st, 2001—just 10 days after 9/11—when I hit that memorable home run for the New York Mets to help defeat the Atlanta Braves by a score of 3‒2. That was pretty tits, but this training camp might top it."

Word from the Vancouver Grizzlies training facility is that rookie guard John Moore is more than disappointed with this off-season. Not only did he take a few steps back during training camp, but he was unimpressed by the GM's reluctance to surround him with talent that he could work with. Preseason hasn't even started yet, and already there seems to be trouble brewing for the Grizz.

Sources close to the front office are telling me that the Oklahoma City Thunder are very delighted with the development of Pete Maravich, who has really worked on his fundamentals during training camp. An assistant, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has suggested that Maravich's development is crucial given the hit that Nick Papagiorgio sustained during camp. Maravich is clearly their man heading forward - that much is for sure.

Sources close to the Utah Jazz are suggesting that many players on the squad are restless and wish to take their talents to a more competitive team. Joe Futrell, Charles Gilbert, and Robert Chasse are the names currently being circulated. Could a trade be in order? Only time will tell.

Rumors are beginning to circulate that the Charlotte Bobcats are willing to depart with Timothy Pulley and D'Angelo Russell - but only for the right price. Is a rebuild on the way?

Sources within the Nuggets say that Jerry West deliberately broke his own leg because he was tired of living in Jeffery Duren's and Gustave Lecroix's shadows. West was overheard saying "Even if I had a time machine to go back to before I broke my leg, I'd break it again if it meant getting away from those two jackasses!

Insiders in the Knicks organization say that we can expect them to offer Charles Simmons $20 million per year for 4 years in order to "pair him up with that stud Tim Locklear. It's not a bitch move. I'm serious. It's NOT a bitch move. Stop laughing at me. IT'S NOT A BITCH MOVE! "
