25-26 Most Improved Player Nominations (DUE 2/27 @5pm)

Post by Darth Vegito »

Rules for Nominations: Nominate your Most Improved Player OR someone else's Most Improved Player that you feel was outstanding and exemplary. Please detail why the player nominated has improved and why they deserve to win the award. You are limited to ONE nomination.

As always there will NOT be any prodding of other GMs or any general bitchassness in these threads. It will be deleted upon discovery.

I nominate Anthony Davis for most improved player by virtue of improving his count of MVP trophies from 7 to 8. Not many other players can say that.

I humbly nominate Vicente Carvalho of the Thunder as Most Improved Player of this year. He saw starter quality minutes compared to bench role from his rookie season and his stats really showed the player he is developing into. His stats went up across the board. They are:

Pts: 4.9->11.6
Rebs: 2.1->3.4
Ast: 0.5->1.5
FG%: .425->.478
FT%: .688->.727
3P%: .353->.421
TS%: .535->.587
PPS: 1.24 ->1.31
PER: 11.3 ->14.2
EWA: 0.4->4.1

Jerry West took another GIANT step forward this year. In roughly the same minutes:
PPG: 24.2->29.0
RPG: 3.0->3.4
APG: 4.3->5.2
STL: 1.9->2.3
3P%: .354->.379
PER: 20.7->23.5
EWA: 14.9->21.0
All while keeping the same PF/G (1.9) FG% (.481->.480) and making 2nd team all-defense.
6 Rings. That's it. That's the tweet.

I'll nominate my boy Boban. In a mere 4.7 more minutes per game, he made the following jumps:

16.7 -> 22.1 PPG
4.6 -> 7.2 RPG
18.8 -> 23.1 PER
