As the Warriors enter the 2024/2025 season, the rebuild looks to be right on track.
After a dismal start to the 2023 season left management convinced that a complete teardown was necessary, minutes began to be allocated to younger players with fresh legs and competitive fires so we could get a better sense of the talent on the roster. It also allowed us, after a season without a draft pick, to begin anew with talented newcomers Grayson Allen and Ash Ketchum. We were happy with how the draft shook out, and look forward to the offense that both players will be bringing to the table as they develop moving forward.
Veterans Enes Kanter and Jrue Holiday were brought back/brought in to stabilize the locker room and provide a calming presence. They should also provide us with roster flexibility in case it appears that we are ready to compete a year or two earlier than planned, or potentially with assets if a team should come calling later in the season.
While newly resigned athletic small forward Ramsay Bolton did not take a step forward during TC, the big news out of Warriors training camp were the great strides made by 24 year old Joshua Swan. An athletic guard with a strong offensive makeup, we are excited to see what he can do this season and may have to make room for him in our long term plans moving forward.
