Raptors Press stuff

I hate this. I hate having to stand in front of the media and having to explain myself. Does it really matter what I say? No. The only thing that matters is results in the standings. Yes, we are looking to win. No, we are not waiting for our young guys to grow anymore. They've had time. I'm expecting solid years from most of them and if not, they may end up wearing a different uniform. Who am I talking about specifically? Let's go down the list:

Joffrey just got paid like a king and now he has to start playing like one. We've done all we can for him. And he has responded tremendously this offseason. He has made a big leap in training camp and we have signed Chris Paul to mentor him and back him up. We've done our part and now he has to do his.

Kristaps has been a very decent scorer so far but we are really looking to see him improve in defense and especially rebounding. As a team we get killed on the boards, with a 7 foot tall power forward, that should not happen

Ramsay Bolton has had no pressure so far being behind Zach LaVine and Bjorn in the depth chart. But he has show a few things and now has my attention. That could end up good or bad for him.

Bjorn did better than expected in his rookie season and is the only one out of the four that I have not been disappointed in at any time.

As far as Zach LaVine's departure, we knew the big contracts we would have to pay in the coming seasons, and we decided not to overpay on a declining average player. We did make an offer, in fact it was a higher offer in the first 2 years than what he accepted. He took the long term deal and I don't blame him.

I'm done, ask away bt make them good.
I still got all my fingers but somewhere I lost my mind.

With the Atlantic division so stacked, when do you think Toronto fans can stop saying, "we'll get them next year" and finally start expecting their team to dominate the division?

Honestly I have no clue. I had tiger expectations last season but the team let me down. I don't think it's necessarily this year but it should be in the near future.

GWR: You have a lot of notable veterans on this team. Who among them do you expect to be most valuable in mentoring the young players?

Definitely looking forward to CP3's mentorship of Joffrey

Kawhi Leonard is being paid a truckload of money for what could be charitably described as backup minutes. Have there been any talks to offload his contract?

If you had to pick one, what is the most important single attribute or skill of any lone player on your team?
