Turning Injuries Off

Post by TheSyndicate »

I understand that having a random variance in this game mimics real life, and we have injuries on the lowest setting already (if memory serves). But I'm of the opinion that injuries make the game less fun for just about everyone, and we have random variance in the form of TC which is plan-altering randomness. 'm sure this will be shot down, but I'm throwing it out there anyway. How about we turn injuries off?

Who didn't want to see what the Knicks could do this year with his compliment of guys? Who wants to see a guy like McNary have his potentials drop? Who wants to see Gary handicapped in the playoffs because some 1's and 0's decided his best player should get hurt? (He may win anyway, but still)

Anyway, just my two cents.

Is this a serious suggestion?

What about injuries makes the game more fun other than we’ve always had them?

Also, if you had played the game for 30 seasons without injuries and were then introduced to the idea we could add them, would you? If so, why?

I’m serious about generating discussion about this, yes Pauly

Not tryin to be a Frye here-

Injuries suck we can all agree on that but its part of the game and adds to the parity of the league. Taking them away pushes the realism out the door and would make it less fun for me personally. I relish the challenge of having to find a solution to problems, thats what makes being a GM fun for me
