Every year there are guys that hang out on the Free Agents tab, seemingly just sitting at home waiting by the phone. I've always been interested in these guys and what the game and us as human GMs do with them so I decided to look at the players left on the Free Agent tab last season and see what happened to them.

Below is a list of G Leaguers that experienced the greatest training camp bumps this year.
Obviously the big story here is Timothy Kilmer increasing by 100!(!!!) 47 of those points were in athleticism.
This guy has potential to be a solid role player but he is going to need more great training camps to get there. Outside of Kilmer, 5 of these guys were rewarded with roster spots (for now). Because free agency is mostly before training camp, some of these guys might not be rewarded until next offseason.
Total Talent

The interesting thing to me here is that all of these guys are on potential playoff teams. These are guys that teams are expecting to contribute, or at least not ruin their team's chances to win.
Playing Time
Below is the list of guys that finished last season unsigned sorted by minutes played this season.
Not surprisingly, the teams playing their G League call-ups most are, for the most part, not competing. The obvious exceptions being the Rockets and Wolves.
Buckets

Obviously when you play for the Grizzlies, Spurs, or Magic there are ample opportunities to score. I'm much more impressed by the bottom 5 guys on the list.
Boards

There will always be room for old guys that can barely move to go out and grab rebounds. Just ask Omer and Cole.
Plus/Minus
Below is the list of guys that finished last season unsigned sorted by +/- with a minimum of 100 minutes played.
Obviously your plus minus depends a lot on your teammates but it looks like the Rockets got a couple of good ones. These guys are getting paid $743k, playing 17/20 minutes per game on the best team in the West and holding their own. They are going to allow 78 to get under the apron and score a high playoff seed. Well done McManus and Stark and well done 78.
