I'll nominate myself. With a roster comprised of Anthony "The Messiah" Davis, and 13 other guys you've never heard of, we've improved on last year's record by 16 wins. We've jumped from a 5-seed to the #1 overall seed.

All this while our big free agent signing, Lance Stephenson, was out for 2 months, followed by our starting point guard Ramon Sessions being out for a month.

And to top it all off, we've built our roster to be successful for the foreseeable future while maintaining cap flexibility. We’re in the tax this year, but next year looks like we’ll be under the cap with a very similar team.

I’ll nominate myself even if I’m not sure it’s my year to win. This award stands for a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To me, what it means is:
-You made the best moves for the franchise,
-You did it without destroying your future (either w cap or with tax)
-You managed the cap well, you improved (coaching)
-You acted with integrity.
-You contributed to the league

Made the best moves for your franchise:
With no OP on board, we’ve had to do things the hard way in Philly, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. This offseason was really a breaking point for us. Would we double down and keep tanking for picks, or would we try and win. With a few offseason talks it looked like the former was going to happen, but things fell through. We kept the squad and added a few more guys. Throughout the last few seasons and this offseason, we’ve had to preach patience and making something out of nothing. Last year we won 37 games, which screams that we needed to make big moves. But the team was patient, watching young budding stars grow up (Simmons/ Grimaldi/ Dooley) and watching our other guys enter their primes (Hayward/ Walker) and letting them takeover.


Made moves without mortgaging the future:
We made some minor things that went mostly unnoticed (Credit:Andy and Tani did like the Covington deal). During the season we experimented with Gordon Hayward all over the place. One sim, we moved Hayward to the 1 and he flourished. With Hayward at the 1, we had a bit of a hole at the 3. Grim could play it, but he really lacked the defense/ strength/ rebounding to be the rock we needed. We made a move to acquire Bob Covington, who lets us shoot more, defends, and rebounds a bit. We got him without giving up a first round pick and without giving a ton of points while sending some cap saving salaries. We had a great trade partner as well, thank you J2 for the business.

In the offseason, we took care of business by signing Dwight Howard for a very cap friendly deal and he has the skill set to help us be a playoff team.

Managed the cap well:
The team is under the cap and is in good shape for the future. We’re one of about 4 teams currently slotted in the playoffs under the tax.

Coaching:
Moving Hayward to the 1 Kemba to the 2 and Covington to the 3 were huge moves for us. We also plugged Simmons in the starting lineup awhile ago foregoing any chance at winning the 6MOY award because winning was most important. We have a very strong bench with Grimaldi/ Dooley/ Johnson/ Davis now too.

Did it with Integrity:
-No trapes
-Did not play people who were younger or worse to get additional points or awards
-No real conflicts between GMs

I'd like to nominate myself for GMOY.

Offseason Reshuffle:
My team entered into the off-season under the tax for the 1st time in man seasons, and had about 26mil in cap space. In turn, we turned Enes Kanter into future superstar Damion McNary, filling the long void we've had at PF. Then, prior to UFA Round 1, I was able to the acquire Andre Drummond and Evan Turner for essentially #14 in this past draft, Buddy Hield, and Jamychal Green. With that my new look starting 5 was set, and I was able to bring in some very talented young players in McNary and Drummond while still competing. We then brought Ricky Rubio back, and signed Ed Davis to a vet minimum deal to solidify our top-7 players. With this new squad, we have above average defenders at every starting spot, and some versatility in our attack on offense.

I've posted the record of 50-27 (last season, 46-36) despite:
- losing Kyrie what's soon to be 16 games of the season
- losing 2 of my 3 big man rotation for the last 2 and a half sims of the season
- not having Anthony Davis scoring at a level Shawn Kemp could dream about

Additionally, I've continued to bring positive contributions to the league as a whole:
a) Consistently contributing articles (individual and group)
b) Participating in EVERY pick'em, representing the Central with pride

Your boy false9 here. I'm nominating myself for GMOY. I'll start with the boring details:

I ran the Pickem this, and naturally participated in it each sim. I didn't miss a Depth Chart submission all season, I contribute articles every season, am responsive in a timely manner to PMs on the forum and Skype. I try not to behave like a dbag, and I hope that's come out in negotiations or in the random chatting that happens. Hell, I even nominated a player that wasn't even mine for Most Improved Player and Sixth Man.

But let's get to the meat of the argument. I made some big moves this season.

- I doubled my win total from 26 to 52
- returned to the playoffs as the fifth seed in the East
- traded for Paul George
- traded for James Harden
- traded for Thomas Robinson
- got Tim Mozgov at a bargain for an inside presence
- signed Marcos Smith (who?!) in the middle of the season as a backup big and earned that sweet, sweet point when he got an All Rookie Team spot
- made my moves early on to easily get under the tax apron
- still have all my first rounders and a boatload of second rounders as trade chips or retention
- left cap room for the offseason for the potential max signing (and a little extra) before maxing Paul George and James Harden
