I think the problem was that nothing was ever formally in place.
This. See viewtopic.php?f=35&t=5310

As mentioned in that thread, those who participated in proposition voting last offseason (4 props) may collect 2 points. Those who participated in proposition voting this offseason (2 props) may collect 1 point.

Also, Ben said he might need a break but set lineups after posting that and was on the site as recently as yesterday; I sent him a PM asking him to clarify his status.

I also sent out a PM to both guys on our waitlist days ago and neither has yet read their PMs. That means as far as I am concerned, they aren't waiting and if anyone wants to refer a friend they will jump to the head of the line.

Just in case the possibility RFA arrives without him checking in, I'm looking for a couple of stewards to help with the Warriors in the interim. Warriors tax will be paid and Rudy Gobert's RFA rights will be exercised if Ben does not check in before then to make sure the team does not suffer. Stewards will be rewarded with points commesurate to the length of time they execute the steward duties.

Finally, a reminder that RFA (and therefore tax payment) deadline is 5 pm on Wednesday 10/11/2017. Index and zip files have been updated through pick #30.

If you wish to submit a second round draft pick list that is due by 5 pm. Either PM to WigNosy or you may use your node to compile a list via the "draft list" option on the left side of the program. Once your list is put together, you may submit a team file via FTP as you do for free agent bids or depth charts and your draft list should be exported to the server where I can grab it and import at the 5 pm deadline when the 2nd round is run.

I volunteer for stewardship if it is needed.

Is it okay if I start negotiating with the stewards in case Ben doesn't show up for RFA today?

Ben checked in with me minutes after the RFA deadline indicating he plans to stay on with the Warriors. Since I said here that tax would be paid and Gobert's RFA rights exercised if he does not check in by the deadline, these things will still happen (Ben, you lucked out on this deadline!) but further offseason activity will be controlled by Ben, and stewards will not be needed. Future missed deadlines in the offseason will not see the league office step in on behalf of the Warriors, however.

I had a few comments and conversations as a waiting steward. That's worth like what 2 points right!? :D

My understanding is 78 is staying on with the Rockets until a replacement GM is found.

Less than an hour left to vote for HOF! Your vote could be the deciding factor? (it probably won't be)

Wig please clarify timing of new rookie training. Used to be before TC but that makes no sense imo. I would think after at the same time of regular training would be logical.
