i will pay you to take himIamQuailman wrote:Is Marcus Liberty on the block?
He's earned the top spot on our roster. We were hoping to have a strong defensive presence from him and Kenyon Martin, but Martin's regression has hurt that. Posey still fits the bill and opens up our options when looking towards the future as he can play a little bit at the 4. If he gets progressing, it'll be a nice little surprise for this franchise.coltsguy510 wrote:What role do you see James Posey having in your organization in the future?
I'll take that second one first. Our PG situation is dire. But it wasn't dire enough to tie up $8M+ a year for three years on a green green PG that was aight.Xist2Inspire wrote:Where does Jamal Mashburn fit into the equation this season? Also, what's the status on your point guard situation?
I think a PG would help this team more than a Center because of how he facilitates the offense. The lack of PG or any real offensive presence means that even an elite center wouldn't help this team make a playoff run.logpmess wrote:Which do you find to be your more glaring weakness, point guard or center?

I'm interested to see how interested you jackasses are in Detroit now. I have essentially 4 different options that you can choose from. They need to be in their first 5 years in the league. Obviously 1 guy isn't gonna help enough. Are you willing to take that chance?NOLa. wrote:You've just now announced to the league that your picks are up for trade. Are you abandoning the draft as a way to build or is it that you are ready to compete right now?

The 1992-1995 teams still mean a lot to this owner and this city. There are some teams that can claim similar success over a three year span but each have fallen on hard times too. None have reached the very top of the mountain. We still hope to be the first ones since the Hawks to get there for our division but we know we're a long shot. We are rebuilding slowly and not necessarily burning the house down like our friends. If they want to keep taking pot shots we can deal with it. Just gets us more fired up when we get back into competitive mode.ballsohard wrote:You've taken a lot of pot shots by your division rivals about your activity and direction of your team recently. We're gonna spend most of the season analyzing the potential free agent market. We feel like the Hawks have really stumbled onto something this year and while we may aim to overpay some RFAs, we're going to try and land some key pieces in the offseason. We know that history has proved that rebuilding through the draft can not be counted on so we hope to control our own destiny with the cap space we have free over the next two seasons. In all honesty, we only aimed at some really big UFAs and felt like landing anyone else would have been harmful to our long term success.LoCo89 wrote:TrayWithAnA wrote: The 1992-1995 teams still mean a lot to this owner and this city. For your Detroit fans, any timetable on when that will be?
If that's the truth, then I'm glad the plan is working.TrayWithAnA wrote:The 1992-1995 teams still mean a lot to this owner and this city.
