He improved his golf game:

He improved his social media presence:

He improved his potentials in training camp:

http://pbsl.ijbl.net/2011/players/player561.htm
http://pbsl.ijbl.net/players/player561.htm

With an additional 5 minutes per game as a starter, he's improved:

PPG (from 10.8 to 18.1, +7.3 points!!!)
Assists Per Game (From 1.5 to 1.9, +.4 assists)
FG% (from .480 to .487)

And a whole buncha metrics stats:
PER (15.1 -> 18.4)
VA (145.8 -> 288.5)
EWA (4.9 -> 9.6)

Now let's improve Danilo's trophy case by adding a MIP Award to sit next to his 6th Man of the Year award. He's earned it!

Hi there. I'm here to nominate this guy right here:

Yes, but no. It's this guy here:

Despite making serious bank this offseason, not too much was expected of him, with his own GM (me) saying before the season:
Xist2Inspire wrote: Fri Jan 20, 2017 1:25 pm Image He definitely is capable of doing so, especially now that he's improved his midrange game. However, Gerald led the team in scoring last season, and we're expecting the same this season.
Oops.

In just 1.2 more minutes per game from last season, Ilyasova has:

1. Increased his ppg from 18.6 to 21.3
2. Shot .507% from the field as opposed to .487%
3. Stretched the floor with a .429 3P%, better than his .399 3P%
4. Went from a "sure, shoot it" 19.8 PER/.549 TS% to a "give him the ball, NOW" 21.3 PER/.583 TS%

Not to mention VA (from 334.1 to 409.1) and EWA (from 11.1 to 13.1). So yeah, Ghostfa - er, I mean Ersan - has emerged as the on-court leader of the Wizards and your best choice for MIP -

No you won't Yeezy, but go ahead.

Image

A'ight y'all, so what y'all need to do is vote my man Will -

Image

Man, take that s#!t off homie, you makin' me look bad.

Image

Much better son. Now anyway, despite my man Chan not gettin' the run he deserves (minutes down from 35.1 to 31.7), he still puttin' it in on O, right? (15 ppg, up from 14.3 ppg last season) And he doin' it in style too man, check this out: .490 FG% instead of .428; .365 3P% instead of .288; .578 TS% over .503; 17.2 PER over 14.5; 261.2 VA over 173.2; and 8.7 EWA up from 5.8. See what I mean? Ay my man deserves this award, yo.

Do you believe in wizards? Then don't go watch Harry Potter, vote Ersan Ilyasova or Wilson Chandler for MIP!

DeMar Derozan

http://pbsl.ijbl.net/players/player563.htm

DeMar Derozan came into his own this season, exploding as the clear leader of the Mavs.

He averaged 23.4 points per game (#14 overall). Last season, he averaged 15.1 points, so that's an increase of 8.3 points per game with only 5 more minutes per game.

He also improved his 3 point shooting from a mediocre 27% to a decent 32%.

Finally, his assists per game also went up pretty drastically... from 3.5 per game to 4.7 per game. He showed a solid ability to distribute the ball, eclipsing double digits four times, with a season high of 14 assists in one game.

His defense needs work, but overall there is no doubt that Derozan will be an elite scorer and playmaker over the next decade.

First, however, let's recognize what Derozan accomplished this season...

He cemented himself as a top small forward in the game, and he is this season's clear Most Improved Player of the Year.
