When we think back on our teams' illustrious (or not so illustrious) histories, there are certain key players that come to mind. While they may come to mind quickly with all sorts of fond feelings, how long were they actually around? I decided to compile the players with the longest tenure at each position for each team. There were a lot of ties for short-timers (3 or 4 years) that were broken arbitrarily. Let's get started with the Atlantic Division.

The Knicks and Celtics teams recall the glory days of old. The Orlando Revolving Doors team doesn't exactly give you warm fuzzies. The Heat team unsurprisingly puts up big tenure numbers thanks to their steady GM. The Sixers, underwhelming.
Now on to the Central, with 2 teams known for their turnover. Some of the tenure numbers are off but the players on the teams shouldn't be.

There are some good ones on this list. Of course McDyess leads the way but there are some others of note. Kevin Willis? Jason Collins? Matt Bullard? Cliff Rozier? It is also interesting to note that Ron Artest would qualify for all 3 teams he's played for if this season was counted for.
Now time for the always interesting Midwest Division.

The Clippers and Warriors teams look distinctly 90s. The Blazers and Sonics teams represent their teams' rocky histories. The Lakers are the most interesting squad, combining the Balls glory days and the "I Can't Quit You" Tray team of recent years.
Gosh, I never was able to keep a starting center for long, huh? Same for shooting guard...Aaron McKie? Really? Hopefully JaVale and Wilson eventually take those spots, sheesh.
