Don't pack Webber's bags just yet. The above line of thinking definitely fits in with other moves the Timberwolves have made. However, I am hearing from a source close to the team that Webber's trade isn't a foregone conclusion. I'm told JNR and Webber sat down after Webber's article to talk about team direction and that Webber left thinking there's a chance he stays with the team.

We've received word that within the last hour, a max offer sheet has been placed on an RFA record 12th player. This is perhaps the greatest draft class of all time, and it is being paid as such. Some believe we might even see one or two more players receive maxes.
Antoine Walker is said as of now to be headed somewhere south. "I'm going to play in the warm, where the sun comes up every day." Having received a couple of maxes, he'll have his choice of where he'd like to spend the next 4 years of his life.

Word on the street is that the Mavericks offered Penny Hardaway for Artest, and that offer was met with doubt over Hardaway's age and contract, and gushings over Artests' limitless potential. Artest could very well be the next "Hornet for life."

Addendum to this that got cut off for some reason, it should be noted that "for life" in Charlotte generally means he's out in 2-3 seasons
