San Antonio Spurs 2011 Preseason Presser

Post by Eazy P »

Welcome to a early edition of the Spurs Preseason Presser.

1st of all I would like to thank everyone for joining us here today.......well not everyone but let's get this started. 1st off I like to thank the fans as usual for the support they have given our team. We had a great run last season but a few injuries and a great Blazers team stopped us from our goal of a title. We are proud of what our team accomplished last season but anything short of making it to the Finals was disappointing but hay what can we do.

Now let's get to the real reason there's a early Presser. 1st off I need the points and the reason is because one of you are trying to sabotage my team with a date trape poison pill contract

Image

....... Lets see which one of you were trying to FUUCK over me. Who was it

Now that we have found out who the person is that tried to purposely mess over our organization with the poison pill deal is let's go in. It was a bitch move. A player he didn't need and he sent all that money to him. A player that averages what 2 points and 1 rebound a game for that contract. Maybe It was Shareef, Todd Day IDK. I'll never Know. I usually don't put my business out in the streets but WTF. Now I know this is a cut throat league at times and you are not going to win every deal. I knew that going in to RFA.

Then here comes this guy walking into RFA like this before putting that bid in probably saying "Who Shall I Frye over right now?"

Image

Right after the results for some reason I noticed my ass hole is bleeding. Hmm why you asked it's cause of the roofy slipped into my RFA drink by a certain person and waking up in a weird place wondering what just happened. Now I expect some shit like that from another GM who's name I am not going to say but this caught me a little off guard. TBH honest I wasn't gonna keep Big Baby at 1st maybe get a little something in return, nothing much. So after I noticed the poison sitting there I tried to make a deal hoping to get something at least, yeah the 1st offer was a total reach but you have to start high right. After all was said and done my final offer was so shitty I figured we would get it done and be good. That wasn't the case and that offer wasn't accepted and confirmed what I thought after I saw the results. A big ol poison pill in the ass. So yeah I probably should not have accepted and matched but I did. Didn't want to give him the joy of capitalizing on my financial situation and took the chance on that player. If it means his TC being the worse ever then so be it.

The players on our roster were shocked at this attempt and thought that it was a ploy to kill this team's chemistry. Hell if I was Big Baby I would've ran with that contract too. I have no hard feelings towards Big Baby. We even sat down with him and told him face to face what the offer was and he was like that's it and he didn't Accept? He says he was glad that we matched. Again this is a business but............you know what imma just stop right here before I get fined.

If yall have any questions feel free to ask.

Nick Melon; The Advocate: Where did you get those pictures? And in an act of solidarity, lets prevent acts like this from happening again next season and going forward. Also, with your looming tax holes, you promoted Emeka and Luis Scola on your trade block. Are you hopeful of getting something fruitful in return?

We wish the Spurs organization nothing but the best in the Great/Great solidarity reports and many more western conference success going forward?

Our tax situation isn't too bad. We'll do some number crunching and take care of it. As far as Emeka being on the block we want to see more of Jordan Hill and what he can do. Not necessarily dump him.

Do you think this act was retribution for turning your back on Doug's flag football team?
I still got all my fingers but somewhere I lost my mind.

Henry Gates, Houston Globe

Last season the Rockets at 10 games under .500 took you guys to 7 games. Why was it difficult to put them away earlier? Was the team focused enough coming into the playoffs after a great regular season?

Also, what's your thoughts on Ray Allen retiring this off-season? Also, who will be your main go-to-guy when asses clench up late in the game?

With Westbrook, Batum, and Ryno hitting RFA after this year, how worried are you that the Bucks have more poison pill contracts in the wings?

Do you feel like the Pelicans perform better when you're not at the games?

I am not sure. Maybe he used the "FAT 42 Chris Webber Contract input finger" when making that bid for Big Baby.

I didn't turn my back on the football team.

Good question.

Game 7 what was that score again...........

It was kinda difficult cause of some injuries in my backcourt. As you saw in Game 7 the PG position is a important one. Another Key way home court. having 4 home games helped the team get by in the 1st round. What people forget this team is still young.

As far as Spray retiring I wish him the best. He was one of my favorite guys. I am sad to see him retire at a young age.

Well I am sure there will be some poison from some other teams but we as a organization are better prepared for the next wave of poisoning. Westbrook won't have to even worry about anything because he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. We will have some tough decisions to make but that's for the future. right now we are focused on making up for the disappointing end to last season.

Actually I was at the game Friday and I recall the game not having to take a OT period to get a victory. I will be there on Wednesday for the 8:30 ESPN game and we will win by 10.
