Nowitzki Wins PBSL Sixth-Man of the Year Award (April 23, 2010)

The winner of this season's Sixth-Man of the Year Award is Dirk Nowitzki of the
Clippers. Nowitzki helped the Clippers to a record of 64-18 and a second-place
finish in the Pacific Division. For the season, Nowitzki averaged 20.4 points,
6.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. When asked about the award, Nowitzki
replied ''This is a great honor. Being a starter is important to some people
but it doesn't really matter to me. I just want to do everything that I can to
help the team.''
Curry Wins PBSL Rookie of the Year Award (April 23, 2010)

Oakland - PG Stephen Curry was named league Rookie of the Year today. He led
the Warriors to a record of 45-37 and a fifth-place finish in the Pacific
Division. When asked about his latest accomplishment, Curry replied ''I had a
great season. Playing professional basketball was a challenge like I expected.
All the players here are great. As long as I keep working hard, someday I will
be one of the best players in this league.'' For the season, Curry averaged
22.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
Davis Wins PBSL Defensive Player of the Year Award (April 23, 2010)

New Orleans - PG Baron Davis was named league Defensive Player of the Year
today. He led the Hornets to a record of 50-32 and a fourth-place finish in the
Central Division. We talked to Davis after the press conference. He gave us his
thoughts on the award: ''Individual awards are nice, but I would trade the
award for a championship any day. Basketball is a team sport. I want my team to
be the best team in the league.'' For the season, Davis averaged 23.9 points,
4.6 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 2.4 steals and 0.3 blocks per game.
McGrady Wins PBSL Most Valuable Player Award (April 23, 2010)

New York - SG Tracy McGrady was named league Most Valuable Player today. He led
the Nets to a record of 63-19 and a first-place finish in the Atlantic
Division. When asked about his latest accomplishment, McGrady replied ''I would
just like to thank my teamates for a great year. Without them, I could never
get the recognition that I do. This is a team award more than anything.'' For
the season, McGrady averaged 30.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per
game. McGrady has now won the award 4 times.
