Well we wanted to get value for Calvin while he's still in the prime of his career. The taxman played a big part in this move too. Being a 4+ year repeater we felt it would be difficult to retain him after this season.RPF wrote:New Jersey Reporter: Take us through the thought process of trading away your defensive anchor in Calvin Booth.
I am guessing you are talking about Spray. Well we have got some offers for him and continue to listen. He's a player that has been a key part of the success of the franchise since he was drafted and we all know at some point there would a time where we are going to have to part ways whether it's via trade, him moving on and not resigning with us or retiring.Xist2Inspire wrote:Random Reporter: Despite being a key part of the Spurs for many years, word around the league is that you've been shopping him. Is there any truth to that? If so, why?
I can't predict the future long term but hopefully we can continue to compete and win some games along the way. Our Team is getting older and we are going have to do some retooling. Just hope the retooling process doesn't take too long. Cause as everyone We hate losing here in San Antonio. We want our fans to enjoy coming to games and feel like they are getting their money's worth.78# wrote:You've been a successful GM for many years. I don't know where you got your info from but we didn't extend an offer to him. Maybe he was bitter that we didn't make a offer. I was also told that the Bucks owner left the Owners meeting at the Fox and Hound early because he had to fulfill a clause in the contract NVE signed of licking his balls for 10 mins every Thursday night after 9:15.IamQuailman wrote:Nick Van Exel left San Antonio, complaining the water was dirty and the food tasted like ass. Do you feel Anthony Johnson will like the water and food, or will he too flee in FA?
Sources close to the Bucks owner says that they are indeed chocolate salty balls.Eazy P wrote:I don't know where you got your info from but we didn't extend an offer to him. As far as AJ he loves San Antonio right now.
The women in San Antonio aren't all fat but we paid him good money. So if he wanted a bad bitch he could have paid for one.78# wrote:Another rumor about Van Exel leaving was the women in San Antonio were too fat?
