I don't know if this is vote-able - but any chance we can start season on Monday instead? Would give more folks a chance to write pressers/articles/season pick'ems/etc.

I know I'll be able to get something fun done if I had the weekend. Just sayin... :)

I mean I'd always vote for sooner rather than later. Sorry (not sorry)

Can start Friday, allow preseason pressers to Monday?

I don't mind starting the season ASAP, but if we do end up waiting until Monday to start the season, what about moving the preseason sim to Friday? I'm probably alone on this, but I kinda miss the opportunity to see what my role players and scrubs can do with major minutes in preseason.

Not alone on liking that, but what does moving it change? Study time afterwards?

It's now usually done right at/near the same time as the FFA. That pretty much eliminates any chance of asking to send in a preseason DC if you'd rather not go recommended, given that the preseason sim is literally a few hours after TC results.

Oh oh.

I like the idea, not sure if that is a burden on inputters.

Going recommended is the option we've gone with for the most part because it is easier for inputters, but I guess we can have an input thread, IF pre-season is pushed back until Friday. Usually the masses cry out when there's too much of a lull in between. I'm in no rush. But I always like starting on a Monday, just for OCD sake.

AKA I'll throw it up on a poll

The preseason was an enormous waste of time for inputters as most teams tended to put in wacky lineups that in no way reflected what they would do for Sim 1. The longest time-to-input occurs prior to sim 1. Having preseason do the same was doubling that input time.

Also, I like the fact that we get the computer's recommendations out of the box so you have a baseline to work from without having to waste a "real" sim on Recommended.

Agree with this.

Even if we change the schedule, can still go recommended for pre-season, I think :)

I put the thread up here; vote what you like. We can have a preseason DC thread, won't count towards DC participation, if you want a DC you can submit. I'd highly recommend going recommended for selfish reasons.

i dont think we need a preseason dc, its redundant. we used to do dcs for preseason and people complained so i was changed, now they want it changed back? just stick with the gameplan. if we need a delay because of someone being tired or worn out, i can understand. Pickems never really started for the 1st sim.

Just to be clear, Pressers are due the day of regular season sim 1 right? So Monday not today since preseason is today not Wednesday like the OP
