Hall of Fame Class 2005-06!

Post by JNR »

Thank you for joining us this evening from the lovely Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Tonight is a special night as we honor two players who committed themselves to greatness in the PBSL. Though neither was able to get a championship ring, both exemplified excellence on both ends of the court.

First we like to bring up a man who was drafted by the Knicks in the creation draft. He had a long, majestic career. He was a Most Improved Player. Most Valuable Player. An 8 time all star, and responsible for one of the most dominant seasons in PBSL history. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome David Robinson!

Uh...David. You didn't play for the Spurs. Must have been all those concussions.

Finally tonight, we have a man who personified durability, effort, and a winning attitude. From Pasadena, California, to UNLV, to his great years with the Pacers and Kings, Augmon exhibited the sort of professionalism that made him everyone's favorite teammate. He'll go down as one of the best two way wing players in PBSL history. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Stacey Augmon!

Augmon: I'm going to be really brief because this is an emotional night for me. I want to thank my family, my friends, and Coach Tarkanian for taking a chance on me. I want to thank the wonderful organizations I was a part of. Indiana was an amazing time. Patrick was like a brother to me, and I think he deserves to be in this hall with me. Sacramento, Denver, Minnesota, they all gave me something I'll treasure forever. Thanks for this opportunity and honor. I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this hallowed organization, and will dedicate the rest of my life to being a shining example of PBSL basketball. Thank you.

Thanks to everyone for coming out, and have a great night!

(Quail and JNR get one point each for their nomination being selected to the Hall of Fame. None of the other nominees gained 50 percent, so none get an automatic nomination next year.)
