Favorite Games by console

Post by logpmess »

Have lots of free time currently. So I am looking to get the board activity up for the fun of it. So if you feel like joining the debate. Name the consoles that you owned and your favorite game for each of them.

Gameboy - Mario Baseball
NES - Tecmo Super Bowl
SNES - Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Gameboy color - Pokemon: Blue
Gamegear - Streets of Rage 2
Genesis - Evander Holyfield Boxing
Playstation - Rugrats
N64 - WaveRace 64
XBox - Halo 2
GameCube - Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Wii - NBA Jam (probably not but I gotta)
XBox 360 - Rock Band
PS3 - Arkham Asylum
Nintendo Ds - Brain Age 2
WiiU - MarioKart 8
PS4 - NBA 2k15

That is all of the consoles I can think of at the moment. Messi_2.0 can attest if I missed any. PC is another console, but then you almost have to go by OS, and I'm not super familiar with the differences between each.

Feel free to add your own or comment on my terrible choices!

Atari 2600 (yes, I'm really that old) - Pitfall or Yars' Revenge (tough call)
NES - The Guardian Legend (tough call, though, this is the console I logged the most hours on by far and there were a TON of great games for it)
Sega Genesis - Phantasy Star II
Sega Dreamcast - SoulCalibur
Nintendo 64 - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
XBox - Burnout 3: Takedown
Wii - Mario Party (maybe Mario Kart Wii - tough call)
PS4 - NBA 2k12
Wii U - Splatoon
The Cat is Back

Yar's revenge is strangely addictive. The correct answer is Pitfall, though ,of the two.

Do you by chance remember the movie Explorers?
There's no "I" in team, but you can find "Eat me" if you push it too far.

I couldn't get into Last of Us at all. In fact, I'd go as far to say that I hated the game. I'm usually not into horror of any kind, though, so that's my issue and not the game's.

I actually had put TLOU down through the first city. Just was tired of it early. I then got to the meat of the story and started scheduling time in my life to finish it. I'm not into zombies and stuff (don't watch walking dead or anything) but this game's story will leave you talking for months after.

Damn, can't believe I just noticed this thread.

SNES - Yoshi's Island/Donkey Kong Country 2 (Just can't pick one)
Gameboy Color - Pokemon Silver
Playstation - Tekken 3
N64 - Pokemon Stadium
PS2 - Soul Calibur III
XBox - Jet Set Radio Future
GameCube - Def Jam Vendetta
Gameboy Micro (GBA) - Megaman Zero 3
Wii - Donkey Kong Country Returns

Nintendo DS - Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs
Nintendo 3DS - Fire Emblem: Awakening

Haven't really made the jump into new gen yet, and there's still a couple of older systems I want to get my hands on. Choosing some of these was much harder than I thought.

I think I beat Tekken 3 like 50 times. It was so much fun.

I think it was actually rated Mature. You could throw people in front of trains. I need to find a copy. That was a really fun game.

I went by what I played. I didn't own or play 64 until way after its time. Only have a few carts and Mario 64 is one of them. Mario Kart is a good choice but I was going by things I played when I finally got one.

I always liked Mario 64 more, but that's because I like playing single player video games. I don't like playing against people.

Gameboy - Dr. Mario
NES - Tecmo Super Bowl
SNES - Mariokart
Genesis - Evander Holyfield Boxing
Playstation - Tony Hawk
N64 - WCW/NWO
XBox - NFL BLITZ
Wii - Wii Sports
XBox 360 - NHL Hockey (Don't remember the year)

Sadly, I haven't gotten a new system since about 08. Never time to play. I probably play NES the most right now though. I've been killing RBI, Tecmo, and Zelda.
