As a yankees fan, I'm interested to see what #SLOE thinks of the Moncada signing by the red sox. I attached a bleacher report article detailing how it was a failure for the yankees. I don't necessarily agree, but that is the opinion of the author.

I honestly didn't even think we were in the final four until I got the bleacher report that we stole him right under your nose. Yankees said they felt pretty confident that they were in the bidding for him, but the Red Sox gave almost 10 million more by the end of it all.

Plus now that the embargo is lifted, any team can get cubans.

Didn't know you were a Yankees fan also, Logan. Awesome.

Aside from that, I heard the Yankees brought him in like 3 times to get an evaluation of the guy and for whatever reason, just was outside of the Yankees price range even though Cashman really wanted to sign him. The Yankees also have supposedly already spent a lot on international players like Tanaka and supposedly, there's a budget of what you can spend before the tax gets to you so it would have cost the Yankees and Dodgers more to sign him than say Boston.

I would hope the Yankees are in talks with the Phillies to try and get Cole Hamels to the Bronx because that pitching staff looks a little shaky.
