Why are we letting Doug have multiple accounts?Troll lord wrote:Hi, Wig referred me and I would like the Knicks please.
Kid's right. I referred him.Troll lord wrote:Hi, Wig referred me and I would like the Knicks please.
Had a busy weekend and hadn't had a chance to announce. A warning had been issued privately to snug after missing the entirety of the off-season and first DC. This was not a gut reaction, as there have been warnings issued in the past. Needless to say, he had until Friday to submit a DCs and failed to do so. I hadn't made it public on the forum (busy weekend), but I had mentioned it to some of the guys on Skype (one of which is Wig, who recruited a new GM).42PhD wrote:Are the Knicks available? Was there a public "quitting?" Have they met some standard of absentee ownership not met a number of franchises (thinking about both in LA)?
To be perfectly clear, aren't the Warriors the only open franchise?
It's my fault for not announcing it on Friday when I should have. Been a long week. I dropped the ball there. I should've announced it before the team was claimed.42PhD wrote:Seems odd that the invisible hand delivers the team with nice rookie contracts and good picks to a new GM who did not materialize when there was a team available since midway through last season.
I could have quit and got the Knicks. Or Inner could.
Just odd. Like a tiny miracle.
I'm going to call you out on the Pistons and RunningBack.42PhD wrote:It's ok, he'll quit when his team sucks, like Runningback (where's he at on his clock) and some other guys who leave when their team gets shitty and come back to a good situation (if a shitty team).
What'll be interesting is who this guy funnels his good players to before he quits, or maybe whose massively bad tax situation he helps fix just to be a swell guy and get 10 points.
Bad team, good situation, as you and I both pointed out.Inner_GI wrote:I'm going to call you out on the Pistons and RunningBack.42PhD wrote:It's ok, he'll quit when his team sucks, like Runningback (where's he at on his clock) and some other guys who leave when their team gets shitty and come back to a good situation (if a shitty team).

When he joined the Pistons, they had James Posey, Tony Parker, and Jason Terry as legit assets. And only their 04 pick. They also had some TERRIBLE contracts
Running back came in and traded all those players for basically salary dumps and Suns 04 (Dwight Howard). Running back joined a team in a terrible situation. He's done a solid job rebuilding that team as a rookie GM. Granted some luck, but everyone needs luck in this game.
Also, I don't understand why you are insinuating that WIg recruited someone just to pay his tax or farm talent for him. Do you really believe that to be true?

And... he's posted how many DC's? Same number as Knicks. Drafted, signed some bad free agents in a token effort.
So, this is disagreeing with me how?
what?42PhD wrote:You also didn't think the championship Lakers were a good situation. So, what is?
See prior comment.Inner_GI wrote:what?42PhD wrote:You also didn't think the championship Lakers were a good situation. So, what is?
Okay.42PhD wrote:Hmmm. The request for when you said this is not showing up on my phone. It is not a quote of yours but a strong paraphrase of word and action.
You dismantled Balls' team, said the championship team could not stay together long term and you needed to be financially responsible (sounds a bad situation since you are getting 1 lotto pick for KG and two Travis Outlaws, which I have), then you dismantled the team some more and started going recommended.
So, tell me what I'm misconstruing about what you thought was good about taking that team's core forward or upgrading it for near-term contending?
Cool story.42PhD wrote:It's ok. I was right the whole time, so you kind of didn't stand a chance when you called me out (not the other way around).
I just can't help being so correct so often. Please believe that.
I just don't get what your deal is man. I really don't. I feel sorry for you. But I've got real life things that prevented me from submitting a dc and you take pride in that.42PhD wrote:Not sure you get to respond sooner you aren't in the League again.
Also, active GM's what's the Lakers' record?
And who is taking them before others have a chance?
You need to go back to the part where you decided to defend Runningback, then look at the evidence you asked for. If you want to dispute the evidence, dispute it. I have zero issues going recommended (I have when I was lost on my DC). You are the one assigning intent that is not there and is in fact contrary to the intent you specified in your question.Inner_GI wrote:I just don't get what your deal is man. I really don't. Glad you are having fun.
