Magic 2003 Preseason Presser

Post by coltsguy510 »

Sup bitches. It's me, CG. Made it to Round 2 last season ahead of schedule. Now I'm finally ready to take over the East. Gilbert Arenas is quickly developing into a top tier scorer. Mike Miller is still a Fryeing beast despite a slight setback. Battier had another huge ass TC and is gonna be a two way monster. Solidified the Front Court with Wallace and James. Also got depth. Questions?

Do you expect 5 points for your presser? Also, can you explain your thinking about letting Jeff Foster go in free agency? Was it just the money? Or was it fit as well?

You signed Jerome James to a nice long term contract. What is it about Jerome that excites you? And how do you think he will compete with the likes of Wallace and Gugliotta in the East?

Random Reporter: Other than Battier and the newly-acquired Jerome James, your guys aren't really known for defending. Is there any worry that you may struggle defensively and rely too much on scoring points?

Nerp for first question. The letting go of Foster was primarily due to the contract he was given. I loved him as a player, but felt he didn't deserve that type of money.

James is a big and insanely strong defensive presence in the middle. I feel as if he can at least slow down the better Centers in the league and that's all I really want from him.

The starters may not be the best defenders, but there are some guys off the bench such as Damon Jones and Reggie Evans who can be used in certain situations on defense. Also, with the firepower of the offense, I feel we will be able to just outscore the other teams.

How do you feel about Lebron coming to your division? And how are you seeing your team built in a few years? Are you building towards that?

Meh, not worried. I think he's a guy who needs pieces around him to succeed and the Heat GM being able to do that.

Looking for Peeler... And he finally got the pun?
There's no "I" in team, but you can find "Eat me" if you push it too far.

As a complete player, I'd say Shane Battier. As a scorer it's going to be Arenas. But I have a very balanced team right now which I like.
