Who will the computer name as the MVP?
Why do you think so?

Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.

Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5, 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.

Due: Deadline for Sim 12

I'm going to guess Patrick Ewing. He is just outside of 5 points away from leading the league in points per game. I think that is close enough to overcome. Outside of that, he is tied for first in rebounds. He, also, is first in blocks by a lot. I think his team being towards the top and his stats on both sides of the court will propel him to to win the award.

Michael Jordan

All-around play is helping the Spurs maintain their division lead over the Rockets in the home stretch. Jordan is just killing it in player efficiency and this has made the Spurs a well-balanced machine.

I usually like to watch the "Player of the Month" awards for frontrunners. That tells me I need to look among the following:

Michael Jordan (x2)
Karl Malone (x2)
Hakeem Olajuwon (x2)

The first thing I notice is Magic isn't a multi-time monthly winner, so for the first time in league history, we're looking at an MVP not named Magic Johnson.

If I look among Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, and Hakeem Olajuwon and look at their VA (which is basically their PER times minutes played) I find Jordan has a VA of 819.9, Malone 592.5 and Hakeem 741.1 - which tells me Michael Jordan is the frontrunner.

I can tell you who it won't be, because this game hates him... KEVIN MCHALE.

Now with that said, I think that based of PPG alone Eddie Johnson is a no brainer. He's the league's topscorer, he's avg like7 rebounds a game too. Hes not just scorign, he's doing other things. Sure Ewing & Olajuwon are doing ALOT, but the game heavily ways PPG in this category for this particular award. @logpmess reverse curse will work and Eddie will get the nod.

I think it will be Patrick Ewing. Top 4 in scoring, rebounding, and blocks. This dude is having an incredible season. All while shooting 52%. This is finally a season where it could be anybody's award, Magic came back down to earth. But Wig pointed out in his awards nomination that Ewing had a game with 14 blocks!! That's just absurd. I'm not sure there's been another performance like it this season
