S9 1988 Cavs Preseason Presser

Welcome to the Cavs Preseason Presser. We are pleased to welcome the league's showstopper GM jlmarines.

GM jlmarines: Last season was a roller-coaster disaster. We made a few trades but nothing worked. We struggle on defense. Our opponents score a lot of points. We decided to fire few sorry ass players. During the offseason, our priority was to upgrade the defensive side. We threw a lot of cash for top free agents, but missed on a few targets during UFA. Overall we signed few players that will help our depth chart. We resigned our top target C Rick Mahorn During free agent. C Mahorn is a fearless style player who is willing to put his life on the line. We are thrilled to have him back.

GM jlmarines: We are pleased to signed SG Kelvin Ransey. SG Ransey brings leadership, initiate contact in order to make plays, and can score points. Ransey will provide valuable depth chart.

GM jlmarines: We are also pleased to trade for SF Xavier McDaniel. SF McDaniel is a proven winner who will fight for rebounds. Another young player ready to lead is our young stud SG/SF Dell Curry. During the offseason, Curry didn't went home. He spend the entire time at the Cavs practice facility. Curry works, eats, sleep, and trains at the gym. Curry is going to be a beast.

GM jlmarines: We are also pleased to draft SG Vernon Maxwell. Maxwell is a freak. He has never had a turnover in his entire life. Maxwell only drinks water. He's going to score a lot of points for us.

GM jlmarines: Of course, let's not forget our future hall-of-famers PG Michael Adams. Adams is ready to lead the Cavs again. Adams is a freak. He runs faster than speed of light, and will steal your shoes. Adams is ready to destroy anyone in front of him and sent them back to the G-League. Remember his name.

GM jlmarines: Overall, we signed solid players that have athletic abilities to finish plays and defend their position. I believe the Cavs are ready.

GM jlmarines: Here's are starting 5 for the current moment and subject to change:

C: Rick Mahorn
PF: David Greenwood
SF: Xavier McDaniel
SG: Dell Curry
PG: Michael Adams
6th: Dell Curry
Honorable Mention: Horace Grant

That's the point. Cavs do not disclose his war plans to his enemies. Are you not entertain...

Nick Melon; Charlotte Observer: What went into the thought process of acquiring Xavier McDaniel in exchange for Spud Webb with the Jazz?

Steve Duin, the Oregonian:

Any concerns that Rick Mahorn's contract will age poorly?

Last season, I didn't score a lot of points. Plus, I already have an elite PG. I figured McDaniel will help the Cavs score more points. Thank you for your great question.

Not at all. Mahorn has three good years left. My only concern is his 4th year. The Cavs need to win right now. That's why he's back. Thank you for your great question.

If the team doesn’t come out gangbusters, do you pivot? What’s plan B?
6 Rings. That's it. That's the tweet.
