Is there a player you are trying to feature right now, that might not be your headliner, but influences parts of your game planning?
How are you trying to get the most out of this player?
How is it working out so far?

Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.

Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5, 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.

Jim Paxson

Coming off the bench right now as a super sub - still trying to figure out the rotations between him, King, and Moncrief. It is a good problem to have but it will take a few sims to sort out.

How is it working out so far?
The transition was pretty smooth so far since we are on a win streak. The team will be going through the gauntlet of the Western Conference in the next month so it will be a good test to see how the team holds up against potential playoff opps.

Easy call for me:
Everybody knows I have been leaning on Sleepy for a few seasons now.
The ratio of assist to turnover is not horrible, but it is a high turnover number.
So I tried moving him to the shooting guard position, but he doesn't rebound well enough from there.
Now that I added King and Magic I think it's best to send him back to point and keep the motion down.
I added few wins in the last sim, and I'm hoping to pick up some cohesion and end the season on a high note heading into this loaded free agency.

Absolutely I am featuring Kevin Johnson. He was my #1 player on my draft board this past draft and I can't wait to see how his career unfolds.

How are you trying to get the most out of this player?
Playing PG makes it easy for him to have the ball in his hands and set people up to score. It also helps that we aren't competing so I can have other players take a back seat this season while we really showcase KJ.

How is it working out so far?
Beautifully. He's well on his way to winning ROY, he was voted to the All Star team, and he's currently 2nd in the league in assists while averaging 15+ points per game. I'm really hoping that next season we can get a bit more from the rest of our young guys so we can see just how far this team can go with KJ

Interestingly enough, Gerald Wilkins looked doomed be a bench player for me. However, he has shown signs of scoring ability so I tried putting him in my starting lineup. Since then his scoring has increased tremendously.

As an additional surprise, Craig Hodges has been thriving as the first man off the bench role.

It’s giving me a look into possible rotations for the future and an excitement to see if Wilkins can transition into a top level scorer.

For me it has to be my man Mo Cheeks. He was the OG Celtic, being the rd.1 pick of the creation draft. He has now come home to end his career hopefully on a high note. He was slotted into the PG position after sitting on the bench in Chicago and he only got player of the week.

I honestly don't have a single player that I'm trying to highlight. Everyone takes turns putting up the points... which is absolutely a good problem to have. But it does make tweaking the DC difficult to navigate because you don't want one change negatively impacting someone else. The biggest surprise for me since making the few trades I have is that Benoit Benjamin is absolutely balling in his limited minutes off the bench. The rim protection hasnt fallen off despite the minutes restriction, and he continues to fill in nicely where needed when fouls come into play. So I would say figuring out his new role has been interesting and we hope he continues to flourish off the bench.
