Write a review of your team's season.
What kind of headlines did you make this season?
How will this team be remembered?

Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.

Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5, 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.

Due: Deadline for Sim 12

Slow and steady won the race. The Mavs coasted to the playoffs. They stayed under the cap, focused the build around Sam Bowie, and made it out unscathed. Put simply, the Mavs showed up and didnt choke. I believed in this team and they delivered.

I would say the team showed grit. They started out the year hot, with Dominique looking outstanding. Then he got hurt for 40 plus days, and as soon as he was healthy Porter got on the IR. Once healthy, and the addition of the cost controlled Shayes, it took a min but they are going into the playoffs finally playing like that first sim again.

Another season of forcing the Pacific leader to work all season long but still coming in second place. Is Magic retired yet? I think the season's headlines were trading away Bill Cartwright early and trading away Alex English late. Unfortunately, this team isn't going to win a title, so it's not going to be remembered for much - but I will remember it for going from "over the luxury tax line" to "under the luxury tax line" at the last moment.

The Bullets lit it up this season!!
Execution after Execution, we did what we wanted.
Nobody stopped us.
I know there was an uproar in the beginning, and plenty of resistance along the way, but in the end, reason won out, and wills bent.
Truth is, we made the deals that people needed.
We made the moves that put people in position.
We moved body after body, until our throne was ready to land a new star.
This team will remember this as the season that a great foundation was laid for a greater rebuild.
This is the beginning.

Looking back on the season, I would say we set out to do exactly what we wanted to do. We traded away long term contracts, added draft picks and points, and started to pave the path for our future. We had a glimmer of hope at the beginning of the season but the resim really brought us back down to earth.

Our headlines are trading away Ralph Sampson as well as one of my favorite players in Danny Schayes (it hurt more sending him away than it did sending away wilkins last season). But we felt these moves were necessary to have a better chance at a higher draft pick as well as gaining multiple 1sts in the process, 2 this draft and 3 in the 1989 draft. I really feel like McMillan and Pinckney could develop into two stars so hopefully we hit in the draft and are able to snag some good FAs this offseason.

Hopefully, this team won't be remembered for much. We want to forget about this season as quickly as possible so we can get back to being a playoff contender like we were in previous seasons
