AB, in an even more disheveled shape compared to last season is no longer angry, he is past that point in the process. After two seasons of him signing quality players, trading them for assets, trying his best to set up for the future the right way, he was once again pushed aside for teams that were absent to say the least in their teams development. There are various opinions out there on what that entails, but we are not here to talk about that... We are here to talk about how AB will keep trying to overcome the odds that are presented in front of him and put the best product on the court that he can for the fans, which this is all about.
Good Morning Everyone, I Know That I Have Recently Gone Off The Deep End. My Complaints Have Come Back Mostly To Deaf Ears And In Fact Have Caused Others To Say That I Have In Fact Been Tanking. I Will Address These Comments Before Anything Else, As I Have Always Prided Myself On Trying To Put The Best Possible Product Out There. Let's Start With The Biggest Complaint: "you don't pick up anyone in the offseason to add to make your roster better"
This is Wholly False, And The Easiest To Dismiss... Season Four We Signed Andrew Toney To A Max Deal. He Was A Young Scoring Wing, Who Was A Great Get That We Did Not Expect. We Then Traded Him To The Kings With Leavell Who Was Also A Great Player Coming Off A Championship For Some More Building Pieces. The Next Season We Got Dennis Johnson In The Offseason. We Were Very Excited For Him To, Hoping That His Playing Could Lead To A Younger Player To Compliment This Team. Almost Directly After Signing Johnson, We Struck A Deal That Was Too Good To Pass Up With The Pacers for A PG. We Then, Out Of An Abundance Of Caution, Rested Johnson. While Some Thought We Were Doing This To Tank, We In Fact Didn't Want A Broken Leg To Stop This Deal (And The Way Our Luck Had Been, We Really Thought This Was Going To Happen.)
The Second Complaint I Can Think Of Is That We Did Not Play Our Players...
I Already Addresses The DJ Situation. As Far As Our Other Stars Go Last Season, Ralph Was Playing As Great As His Rookie Of The Year Season, And Hakeem Was Seriously Considered For ROY, Where His Statistical Season Being Not Just Great For A Rookie, But Only Second To Magic Johnson Last Season.
So, Get Out Of Here With the "You Are Tanking Nonsense." I Will Not Entertain It And It Is Truly A Distraction From What I Have Personally Pointed Out From Other GMs...
Lets Get To This Offseason Now.
I Am Not Happy, I Am Angry. I Am Truly Living Up To My Namesake Because Woof. I Feel Like I Fought Twelve Rounds With Mike Tyson In His Prime. I Won't Go Into The Draft Lotto, Because Honestly It Is What It Is. I Don't Like It, But That Is Part Of The System And I Have To Accept It. The Only Part That Is Upsetting From That Perspective Was That The Teams That Were Rewarded Were The Type Of GMs That Will Assuredly Forget To DC Or Play The Player To Their Best Ability. IDK, Not My Problem In The Sense That Those Are Not My Players. We Do Have Terry Porter, And We Think He Could Be Special.
Then There Was RFA. I Was Actually Content With UFA. I Did Not Expect To sign Anyone, But Hoped To Maybe Lure Away One Player From A High End Team That Would Decide Not To Pay Their Young Guys. Blazers and Bucks Both Said "we will pay" And I Was Left Feeling Confident I May Have Some Pulling Power With UFA.
UFA... Another Situation Where You Probably Know How I Feel. Anyways, Not Going To Complain Again As That's How Bucks Were Able To Keep Terry Tyler. We Signed Kareem To A Max Deal, And While That Is An Overpay, We Think He Will Be A Top End Sixth Man Contribution A Lot Off The Bench. We Mainly Went For Depth Pieces Because We Felt That The Big Players Were Out Of Reach, As Would Be Expected Of A Team Who Has Not Played Well, And We Signed Sensibly Instead Of Putting Ten Bids In On The Top Players And Saying "shucks... we didn't get anyone when they don't sign" (Even Thought We Knew They Wouldn't, And Then Complain About No One Wanting To Sign With Us.)
TC Was A Slight Bummer As Well. Ralph Was Equally So Upset At The Happenings Of The Offseason, That He Decided To Get Hit Hard In TC. However, Hakeem And Rob Got A Boost So That Helped Some.
We Will Once Again Attempt To Be The Best Team We Can Be Next Year. We Will Put Our Best Players Out There. With That I Am Here For Questions, Which I am Sure Will Be About Me Taking.
There's been rumors that Rob Williams want to move to the Lakers so he can be on a contender....How are you going to deal with this disgruntled player?

While Rob Appeara To Want To Move, It Is In Fact Us Who Have Played Some Reverse Psychology On Him. We’re Interested In Potentially Moving Him, But It’s Got To Be The Right Move.
What do you say to the rumors that Terry Porter was close to being traded for a top player in the league? And as he is still on your team, how do you really view him for the future of this team?

I’d say yes, we were very much open to deals that could have moved Porter and listened to several of them from teams. The only player that is untouchable is Hakeem, where depending on how he progresses, Terry will be here or somewhere else. Only time will tell.
What are thoughts on Tyler changing his mind after agreeing in principle to sign with your team only to return to the Bucks before things were official?

We understand that there was collusion by the Bucks when we tried to fly Terry in for his physical. We later learned of this photo from Kevin McHale that was being passed around.
While we are upset though, we understand that the fax that the Bucks sent to league offices with the official offer was never received at NPBSL HQ offices, which is a thing we can not complain about. It sucks that we keep getting the jerk around by league offices, but we are past it now and looking forward to the season ahead.

Y’know, that was something we considered as what to do starting last season. If we were able to upgrade Ralph with another big, we would have gladly embraced deals. Then Ralph got hit in TC and equally was interested in the prospect. Nothing is on the horizon, nor are we actively searching for one too, but this may be the softest we have held Ralph as untouchable since drafting him.
What was it about Terry Tyler that made him such a high-priority free agent target for your squad?
We saw a clear need of a wing player who could anchor the defense, but also score as needed. He actually fit the team very well. He was also a no brainer max, and I had max money, so it just made sense.
To be better than the last few years, as we finally have a cohesive unit that will have its top players last past D60 for the first time in a few seasons
